Five quick and healthy kid approved breakfasts

    October 1, 2021 /

Morning time before school is hands down the craziest part of my day. I have five kids so there is five times the fun involved. There are lunchboxes to get ready, water bottles to fill up, clothes to get on, hair brushed, teeth brushed, shoes on, ohhh yea and BREAKFAST to make and eat. Shew, I’m tired already! Ha! But seriously, I am sure I am not the only one striving to make things easier in all areas of life. My house tends to thrive better on lose schedules and routines and I am hoping that by sharing more of a peak into our world that you are able to…

My top five store bought snacks that are healthy

    July 26, 2021 /

We are a family of snackers. At the same time, we are also super ingredient conscious and have looked high and low for snacks that are actually healthy and pass the test. Unfortunately the snack world is full of deceptive marketing and we can all fall victim to brands claiming to be better for us than they actually are. A lot of ingredient reading, researching and trying first hand is how I vetted the snacks that are allowed in our household. Here is a great article on how deceptive marketing in the snack world…

    Immune Boosting Pot Roast

    June 24, 2021 /

My friend Stephinee was kind enough to gift me an Instant Pot after I gave birth to Mercy. Y’all, it has been a big blessing in our lives and something that we use multiple times a week. An Instant Pot is a pressure cooker that has multiple functions (pressure cook, sauté, and slow cook like a crockpot) that cooks under high pressure and only takes 20-70 minutes for most meals. Yes please!  P.S. You can even cook desserts in it. OMG. I actually recently just sold my crock pot because I always forget to turn it on at the beginning of the day and then by the time I remember, there’s not enough time…

DROP THE SWEET TEA DRINKING AND PICK UP THIS INSTEAD…

    June 16, 2021 /

This post is in partner with Tea Motions. All thoughts and opinions are my own. Please visit my disclaimer page for more information. Let’s talk teas.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀I am a SOUTHERNER and I used to make my sweet tea with Liptons and a cup of white sugar.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀YUPPPPP. I did that.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Now that I’ve learned how truly horrible that is, I don’t drink it and when it’s offered, it honestly tastes like dirty dishwater to me. Here are the top three reasons I suggest NOT drinking sweet tea anymore for:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ It’s SUPER interesting to me that teas can be healthy for you and actually do your body more good than bad. So, how did…

What I Eat In Day – Ideas For Healthy + Fresh Options

    March 7, 2021 /

This post is in partner with Daily Harvest. All thoughts and opinions are my own. Please read my disclaimer page for more information. I’ll be honest I’ve been really intimidated to sit down and really write out a play-by-play of the foods that I eat. It’s one of the most frequent questions that I asked and every time I sit down at the computer end up freezing up and not writing the whole thing.  At this point in my life, I have decided to eliminate all fast foods, most processed foods, and focus on eating organic and fresh high-quality foods. My tastes do change often but I found I always…
