You all know I am very picky about the foods I bring into our home and feed to my family. Even though it’s not always easy, We try to eat as clean and as organically as possible. I receive over a hundred emails a week from companies who want me to promote their brands, and a great deal of these are “healthy” food companies. When Strong Roots approached me about trying some of their plant-based foot products, I was excited because they are a brand I haven’t tried before, yet had heard rave reviews about!

Strong Roots’ company mission is “To provide plant-based, environmentally responsible, positive food choices, for everyone, for now.” This is definitely something I can get behind because my goal for our family is to make sure they are only eating the very best, while maintaining social and environmental responsibility. Their products are also both vegan and gluten-free for anyone with dietary restrictions. I was thrilled to death when my package from them arrived and I couldn’t wait to get in the kitchen and start baking!

In my package I received the cauliflower hash browns, mixed root vegetable fries, and spinach bites. I asked my kids which product they wanted to try first and of course they were drawn to the one that resembled french fries! The instructions were easy to follow and within minutes of placing them in the oven, my house smelled amazing and the kids came running. Sometimes I worry that my kids won’t want to try something new, but let me tell you, all 5 kids devoured the fries within minutes of taking them out of the oven! The main ingredients of the fires include carrot, parsnip. and beetroot…which probably would have been impossible to incorporate into my kids’ diets had it not been for these fries.

Since we first tried the mixed root veggie fries, we’ve also baked up the spinach bites and cauliflower has browns and they did not disappoint either! My kids gobbled them all right up! Like I said before, it’s hard to get little ones to try different veggies and these products take all the pain out of that process! We are going to continue to shop Strong Roots for all of our frozen plant-based food options! Since the company is based in Ireland (I know, cool, right?!) use this link to find out where you can purchase Strong Roots products locally!
