Improving the air quality in our home with air purifiers

In the world of non-toxic swaps, it can be overwhelming knowing where to start.

I do suggest starting simple with things that you use a lot and being happy with any swap that you’re able to make. This makes it less overwhelming and helps you feel more accomplished with any swap you do!

When I first started making my swaps to more non-toxic items, I started with food, moved to cleaning products and then my personal care products. That was over 10 years ago and since then the amount of swaps that I’ve made is honestly something that I cannot count. You can read more about making those swaps and how I suggest doing so by clicking here.

The important thing to note is that I didn’t do any of that all at once, I did it gradually, over time and I was happy with every swap I was able to make. One of my later swaps dealt with air purifying in my home.

You can read the full story of how and why I did this by clicking here, but the Cliff Notes version is that I had my fifth baby and she got extremely sick from an airborne virus that my other children brought into the home. Unfortunately, with families the size of ours we tend to pass things around and knowing that I wanted to focus on killing any germs and bacteria in the air that I could. This led my quest for air purification systems and finding the company Airdoctor Pro.

I have now used these air purification machines in my home from Airdoctor Pro for the last 2 1/2 years. I can wholeheartedly say that they make a huge difference in the air quality and they are something that I suggest to everyone that wants to focus on air purification within the home.

Recently, I had to swap out some of the filters in my children’s rooms because the replacement light on the machine showed that they needed to be swapped out. For our home, I am normally able to make the filters last an entire year before having to swap them. I’m mostly able to do this because I take the time to vacuum out the filters every few months with my regular vacuum and that helps prolong the life span for each.

Each air purifying machine comes with a carbon filter and a HEPA filter that each do their own job of filtering out things in the air. These filters are super easy to swap out and can be done in less than a few minutes time.  You can view me changing out the filter on the smallest model 1000 by clicking here.

Overall, I can tell a huge difference in the air quality of our home by using the Airdoctor Pro models and they are 1000% worth investing in if you want cleaner air. Right now, you can get them with over $850 in savings during their summer sale. I strongly urge you to take a look at the brand for yourself and see if this is something that you might want to make a swap to in your home. I also love that they have payment plans so that you can invest now and spread your payments apart. Make sure to click this link to see all the discounts.
