    AT HOME LOWER BODY WORKOUT

    July 5, 2021 /

It was not until my adult life I learned how to work out. I always let working out intimidate me in previous years and it kept me from moving forward to better my health. I refuse to let anything hold me back from doing what’s best for my body, INCLUDING myself! You can read more about my health journey by clicking here. After I had my first child, I really decided to  advance in my health and more specifically in fitness. We lived in a very small country town and all of my workouts were at home with a baby around. I had to use my imagination and the help of Pinterest…

    Immune Boosting Pot Roast

    June 24, 2021 /

My friend Stephinee was kind enough to gift me an Instant Pot after I gave birth to Mercy. Y’all, it has been a big blessing in our lives and something that we use multiple times a week. An Instant Pot is a pressure cooker that has multiple functions (pressure cook, sauté, and slow cook like a crockpot) that cooks under high pressure and only takes 20-70 minutes for most meals. Yes please!  P.S. You can even cook desserts in it. OMG. I actually recently just sold my crock pot because I always forget to turn it on at the beginning of the day and then by the time I remember, there’s not enough time…

Much-cha love for Matcha Green Tea

    June 21, 2021 /

So, what is matcha?  Basically, it’s a concentrated form of green tea. The way that it’s grown and consumed keeps it packed full of essential vitamins and minerals. Matcha contains 137 times the antioxidants of regular green tea making it a super helper for your immune system.  Matcha is also able to give you energy all day verses a burst which can make you feel jittery. It provides 4 to 6 hours of mild steady energy as it acts as both a stimulant and relaxant. This is super helpful when you have something random thrown your way and need to pivot!  When you eat or drink matcha, it can help…

DROP THE SWEET TEA DRINKING AND PICK UP THIS INSTEAD…

    June 16, 2021 /

This post is in partner with Tea Motions. All thoughts and opinions are my own. Please visit my disclaimer page for more information. Let’s talk teas.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀I am a SOUTHERNER and I used to make my sweet tea with Liptons and a cup of white sugar.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀YUPPPPP. I did that.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Now that I’ve learned how truly horrible that is, I don’t drink it and when it’s offered, it honestly tastes like dirty dishwater to me. Here are the top three reasons I suggest NOT drinking sweet tea anymore for:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ It’s SUPER interesting to me that teas can be healthy for you and actually do your body more good than bad. So, how did…

HOW TO: Love on your hands

    June 14, 2021 /

As I get older, I am always on the hunt for more ways to love on my skin. With the many things that we use our hands for, it’s important not to neglect them from wear, tear and aging. With as many things as we use our hands for, hand care should be a more talked about subject, don’t you think? I am sure you’ve used lotion and hand sanitizer in the past but have you ever thought about the type of love you should show to your hands routinely? With these questions in mind, it’s time that I share a little secret with you. My nontoxic hand care routine…
