What’s In Our Holistic Medicine Cabinet and Why I Suggest You Have One

    January 10, 2021 /

I am not a medical doctor. All thoughts and opinions are my own. Supplements are not a once size fits all, I’m sharing common ones that we use in our household. I suggest you do your own research before making a purchase. Disclaimer: I do use affiliate links on here meaning that if you purchase anything through my affiliate links I receive commission at no additional cost to you! My views and opinions are never swayed because of this! I only recommend products and services I love! When I began my shift to a nontoxic lifestyle, I had no idea what was outside of the realm of modern medicine. Why…

This Is What I Learned About How Yoga Helps Your Spine

    October 28, 2020 /

Spine health is something that we should all focus on but it’s not something that we know a lot about due to education. I did not know anything about how important taking care of our spines are until I met my husband Derrek, a chiropractor and the person who educated me on this subject. I do encourage everyone to start getting adjustments by a chiropractor – click here to read more. Along with weekly adjustments, I do feel like it’s important to be aware and proactive in giving your spine love. I have personally seen a positive change in my spine by practicing yoga on a weekly basis as well.…

Our Favorite Nontoxic Toys: Perfect for Birthday and Christmas

    October 22, 2020 /

This post is in partner with Lovevery! All thoughts and opinions are my own. Please read my disclaimer page for more information. With five kids, I’ve seen my fair share of kid’s toys. They seem to just over populate the house overnight and end up in piles all around and never played with. I end up throwing away or giving away most toys that are from big chain toy stores because they are just junk. When my children play with toys, I want the intention behind them to help develop their sensory, motor and cognitive skills. I’ve honestly, stopped buying a lot of “mainstream” toys because they are NOT helping…

My Top Five Indoor Plant Tips

    August 28, 2020 /

I am obsessed with plants, especially indoor plants. The last few years I’ve grown my little plant family and have several plants in every room of my home. I love the way the green just brightens up any corner in any room. The foliage is something that is not only visually appealing but also therapeutic. Plants have an amazing ability to filter the air and can reduce allergy issues, respiratory issues and even headaches! I have really loved the health benefits that plants give, they are living and breathing (in their own way) miracles and having them in our home benefits us greatly. You can read more about the benefits…

Gardening Update + What I’m Learning About Canning

    August 19, 2020 /

I don’t know how it happened but fall is right around the corner. We are 8 months into 2020 and ready to plant our winter garden. The garden that the kids and I planted earlier this spring did exceptionally well. A few things just didn’t grow like we wanted, spinach, kale and beets didn’t produce like previous years but I’m proud of what we’ve grown, is still coming up to pick and what we can start planting for fall. I suggest that anyone that can, grow some sort of garden. Even by using small planters indoors if you don’t have outdoor space, you can make it happen to grow your…
