    Refocusing my Mission

Reflecting on my blogging journey that started two years ago, I realized that I’ve somewhat stepped away from the reason I started. I want to refocus on my mission and share more information with y’all like I did in the beginning. I started a blog because I wanted to have an acessable platform for my friends and family to look at that answered all of the questions that I am asked on a daily basis. I transitioned to a non toxic lifestyle and the change was so drastic that I was flooded with comments and questions by my peers. “What made me change?” “How did you start?” “How did you…

    POPS of Color

The transition from Winter to Spring is not only seen outdoors but with our wardrobes as well. Our goes our winter wear like heavy coats, dark jewel tones and warm boots and in comes shortsleeves, bright colors and patterns. I love a good neutral but POPS of color always catch my eye. Since I was in high school, I’ve coveted Lilly Pulitzer pieces. They are a huge investment so I opt for pieces that I LOVE and know I get lots of wear out of. This dress from Lilly always gets lots of compliments. It’s so flattering and I wear it a lot in the warmer months. It’s sold out…

Growing up, I always had a Easter basket from the Easter bunny but my family wasn’t really involved in church. I never grew up KNOWING the true meaning of Easter other than bits and pieces picked up from others. After spending time in my bible, the real meaning of Easter is one that makes my heart full. Life can get overwhelming, especially thanks to Social…

    Baking Made Fun with Foodstirs

I didn’t do a lot of baking at my house when I was growing up. My mom rarely cooked meals and when she did it was something quick and easy. We never spent time in the kitchen baking cookies or a sweet treat to snack on. Now that I am a mother with three Little’s of my own, I really find comfort in creating fun memories with them. One of the traditions we started with Nolan and continues with our growing family is having the kids help in the kitchen. On the weekends, Nolan and Harper normally help Derrek make pancakes with lots of berries, bananas and nuts. They…

Weekend Style thanks to JJ Cole and Freshly Picked

My top | skirt | bag | necklace Harper and Scarlet Reese’s shoes | SR bow | bandana bib  Spring is here and we are loving it! We spend, at the least, a few hours outside everyday and it feels amazing. One thing that Derrek and I realized over the weekend is how we stayed busy and the kids were not bickering as much. So, I guess that’s the key for keeping the peace, ha! On Saturday, we ended up going to look at houses because we plan on moving at some point this year. I don’t know about y’all but the thought of moving is exciting and terrifying at…
