The Perfect Popsicle
Isn’t it safe to say that summer and popsicles go together like peas and carrots? As the temps get higher in the South, my sweet tooth – and the kids becomes more and more apparent. We have been soaking up the beautiful weather by the pool or at the beach and afterwards we always enjoy something sweet on the porch. The kids love popsicles so I figured I would skip the yucky ingredients that fill the store brand kind and make our own! Nolan and Harper are very hands on in the kitchen, they always love helping especially making smoothies for breakfast. Making popsicles follows the same concept as their…

Walmart Family Mobile PLUS plan – movie night
This has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser, Walmart Family Mobile. All opinions are mine alone. #DataAndAMovie #CollectiveBias. Living in the country has changed the way that we use things, things that you might never consider–like the internet. Out here, there is no broadband service, and for us, that means no streaming movies, TV shows or music like Derrek and I used to when we lived in a bigger city. For a while, we really struggled with this. I mean, it is 2016, so connectivity is important! However, thanks to a plan offered by Walmart, we have found ways around our internet barrier. We discovered the Walmart Family Mobile PLUS plan which features…

Skechers Twinning
Nolan’s shoes | Derrek’s shoes Nolan has always been his daddy’s shadow. I love their bond! Some of my favorite moments in life are seeing them interact, and as time goes on, Nolan becomes more interested in doing everything exactly like his daddy. He wants to go to work with him, workout with him, go uptown with him, etc.! It’s so cute how he gets really excited anytime he does something like Derrek. When Skechers reached out about sporting some of their performance products, I knew that this would be the perfect opportunity for Nolan to match Derrek! Derrek picked out a pair of the black Skechers sneakers, and Nolan…

Skechers for Kids
The weather finally warmed up enough for us to spend some time outside. Us Southerners don’t like anything lower than 60s, and I hate to say it’s been all the way down in the 30s lately. I was dying to stretch my legs, and every day Nolan asks to take a walk and walk Darlin’ (my 9-year-old Maltese that’s gained a few extra LBs), so the warmer weather was our sign to head outdoors! We went to the park where they could run around and I could get some exercise in, and the kids finally got the chance to try out their new Skechers sneakers. I have worked with Skechers before, and…

I’m back!
Oh y’all, I am SO sorry for taking a break from blogging. The past two weeks have been INSANE! I’ve been out of town in Charleston because of two prenatal appointments and my mother’s back surgery. For a week, I took care of her and three of my nieces and nephews along with my two kids. Derrek thankfully held down the fort at Sweet Tea Jewels, and although I missed his cute face off, I am forever thankful for his help with our business. I found out at my prenatal appointments that I am officially 14 weeks and just getting into my SECOND trimester. I love being pregnant, and just being aware of every…
