Everyday playroom session: confession of a SAHWM
Nolan’s shirt | Harper’s shirt | pants | Scarlet Reese’s onsie In case you didn’t know, working at home with your kids is ridiculously hard. At the end of every single day, I am exhausted and amazed at all of the tasks I have accomplished. Some days, more things have been checked off of my to-do list than others but that’s just the way life goes. There’s nothing you can do to stop a girl that is on fire. That’s what I speak to all of my ladies on my team and to myself as a pep talk. I have goals and I refuse to push them to the sidelines…

Colored Organics for Kids
I really love finding great quality clothing for my littles. There is nothing worse than purchasing something for them to wear and knowing that the fabric is itchy, rough or just uncomfortable. I refuse to lower my standards for them and I would never allow them to wear something that I wouldn’t wear myself. I remember as a young child being forced by my mom to wear uncomfortable clothing and I hated it! I will never forget how angry it made me to be forced to wear something that was hard to move around in or scratchy. Thankfully, now that I am a mom, I have found clothing that we…

Morning Sweetness
Now that Nolan does a school lesson every morning, I make sure that he has his own space, and I get Harper set up in another room so they are out of each other’s hair for a little while. Harper normally gets a snack and picks out a book to read in her My Pello floor pillow for kids and is content during the time Nolan is working on his lesson. I really love their playroom; I tried to keep in mind what actually happens in there – lots and lots of messes. So it’s somewhat of a Montessori style room – very minimal so they actually play with the toys…

Lorena Canals – washable rug
I am so excited to be teaming up with Lorena Canals rugs today to bring you revolution for your children’s playroom or bedroom! Before we had one of their rugs, food was a big no-no in the playroom not to mention drinks! The kids looked at me side eyed when I told them they could watch a movie and eat popcorn in their playroom the other day but happily went along with my idea. With kids, it’s just expected that a mess will happen and you learn to prepare for it verses letting it ruin your day. Now that they have this Lorena Canals rug in their playroom, I’m not afraid…

Soft Enough for a King
This year, we started a new Christmas tradition in our home thanks to Soft Enough for a King. I love making these memories with our littles and this one has become one of my favorites! The kids have really grown to look forward to putting new pieces of straw into the manger. As they opened the package to Soft Enough for a King, their eyes lit up, though a bit confused as to what it was. We all sat on the couch, Nolan holding tightly to the baby Jesus, as I read the included storybook and explained to them that with each bit of love and thoughtfulness we give to…
