The Perfect Watch

Wearing a watch is seriously one of the easiest way to jazz up any outfit. These days, we often overlook watches because we always have our cell phones near by, but I love to look at them as another layer of my outfit–an accessory. The watches from Daniel Wellington are GORGEOUS and have been on my wishlist for quite sometime. Finally, I was able to pick one and add it to my everyday style.

I chose a dark brown leather band because I am wearing more of those tones than black. Oversized watches have made a comeback and are my favorite to wear! I chose their largest size, and I am obsessed with my time piece. The quality of their watches is by far the best I’ve ever had, and I love the simplicity of the styles. You can seriously pair them with any outfit!

I also want to share a few helpful ways that I tackle time management now that I have three kids to wrangle:

1. Set an alarm– gone are the days where I just have to worry about getting myself out of the door. Now I have two strong-willed toddlers and a newborn to take with me! Depending on where I have to go, it normally takes me an hour to get them dressed, fed and ready to head out. I always set an alarm on my phone so I can be reminded that I need to get my butt in gear.

2. Prep the night before– when Nolan has school, I always lay out as much as possible the night before. I pack what I can of his lunch, have my coffee poured and sealed in a mason jar in the fridge, have the kids clothes laid out and even get their toothbrushes ready with toothpaste. Not having to do those little things before school make the mornings a little less stressful.

3. For the times that I am running late– if I am meeting someone or going to an appointment, I always call and let them know. I think it’s the rudest thing in the world to have someone wait on you, especially when you don’t give them a heads-up. I once cooked an entire meal for friends that were supposed to come over and hang out, waited on them for over two hours and they never showed up. We tried to call them and text and got no response so we were stuck waiting…only to get a text hours later that they were not coming. Gee, thanks, I figured that. If you give someone a call or text letting them know that you’re running behind, they will appreciate it, regardless of them having to reschedule or not.

These seem like simple steps, but sometimes it’s so simple that you can forget to do them! I hope these help you as much as they help me when dealing with time…or the lack of it!
