Making Memories in the kitchen with Junk-Free Ingredients!

    September 8, 2020 /

Once a week, I try to bake something in the kitchen with my kids. This is something that I’ve done since they were little and they absolutely love it. Derrek always loves any excuse to make brownies or cookies and we have made this into a family event! It is messier than if you were doing it by yourself, but it’s the memories that are really important to not that the kitchen is spotless. My children love to help out in the kitchen, and I think that baking your own sweet treat is a wonderful way to build their confidence and also to let them be involved in the making…

The kids are very active in the kitchen and I have found that involving them makes the entire process SO much easier. I cook three meals a day and make snacks so, anything that I can do to make that easier, I do! One of our fall traditions is making chocolate chip pumpkin bread.  This is a weekly event in our home. Organic Strawberry Lemonade Shortcake Treats Thanks to Foodstirs

    July 27, 2017 /

I was given these items in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own. Please check out my disclaimer page for more information. Life with kids is always interesting and I have found that filling our time with fun experiences cuts down on the fighting and frustration between the older two. This summer, we have had many play dates, trips, pool days, movie nights, beach vacations and many days baking sweets for a special treat. I have never been a big baker. Having to measure all the ingredients perfectly and really follow directions isn’t my thing and has resulted in numerous botched attempts at baking. Enter Foodstirs to…

    Baking Made Fun with Foodstirs

    April 9, 2017 /

I didn’t do a lot of baking at my house when I was growing up. My mom rarely cooked meals and when she did it was something quick and easy. We never spent time in the kitchen baking cookies or a sweet treat to snack on. Now that I am a mother with three Little’s of my own, I really find comfort in creating fun memories with them. One of the traditions we started with Nolan and continues with our growing family is having the kids help in the kitchen. On the weekends, Nolan and Harper normally help Derrek make pancakes with lots of berries, bananas and nuts. They…
