My Trip to Four Seasons the Biltmore in Santa Barbara

    September 27, 2017 /

As many of you have seen via my social media, I visited Santa Barbara at the beginning of September. The trip was special to me for many reasons: it was the first time away from my children, I was around inspiring and powerful women,  being able to stay at Four Seasons the Biltmore (duh) and being treated like a queen, eating organic amazing food and knowing that I earned this FREE trip because I worked my butt off for three months and my Beautycounter business is proof of it. I decided to join the Beautycounter movement after trying countless “organic” and “natural” products and being unimpressed by their performance and/or…

Girl’s Night Must Haves – Beauty Product Edition

    September 19, 2017 /

A few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to vacation in Santa Barbara at the Biltmore with a few hundred other ladies. This group of women and myself, won a trip from our company for our hard work over the course of last summer. Amongst those ladies were a few of my personal teammates, which made the trip even more special. Before that weekend, I hadn’t had a “girls night” since I got pregnant five years ago. Five years yall! Although I love my family and my Little’s, having a few days to myself was amazing and I am so refreshed because of it. My teammate, Christine Brown, and I…

    Reflecting on my Beautycounter Journey

    June 7, 2017 /

It blows my mind, thinking about the difference in my life two years ago to today. I had just started blogging and was a few years into my health journey. Finances were not great but improving from our lowest point and I was constantly wondering what could I do to provide financially for my family. At the same time, this gorgeous little blonde lady, named Christi Hucks, kept sending me private messages on my social media telling me that I would make a wonderful voice for the Beautycounter mission and I kept completely disregarding her. I just couldn’t make the connection that Christi was dangling my “sign” right in front of my face. It look me months of…

Why Beautycounter? Because we deserve better!

    March 9, 2017 /

I started using Beautycounter almost three years ago when one of my friends started talking to me about the products. I’ve tried lots of “natural” and “organic” brands since changing my lifestyle and they never met my standards. Organic doesn’t always mean safe. Lead, mercury, arsenic. You can have a tube of organic lipstick, that doesn’t mean there isn’t lead in it. After downloading the “Healthy Living” app, I found out that the reason why was because those products that were labeled as safe and non toxic were the exact opposite. I encourage you to download the app for yourself, start plugging in your beauty products and see what exactly…

Step Away from the Princess Elsa Body Wash

    December 27, 2016 /

One of the things that I dread about Christmas is the number of toxic fragrance filled body washes my children recieve as presents from their grandparents. Y’all know the ones that I am refering too, the ones with your kiddos favorite TV and movie characters on them. It makes me cringe because I know they are going to have a meltdown for them and it’s hard to explain why they can’t take a bath with their Nemo bubble bath or Frozen body wash. Trying to get my little’s to understand that kids do not need them as presents, is like talking to a brick wall and knowing that they are literally money down the drain. It makes…
