Taking Your Health Into Your Own Hands
I often get asked HOW to start transitioning to a healthier lifestyle and my answer is simple. CHOOSE to start and focus on one area to change first. If you decide you want to live healthier and non toxic and think about changing everything at once, it’s going to overwhelm you and chances are, you wont start. You’ll just keep putting it off and putting it off verses just starting somewhere. I chose to clean up my food first. This meant not eating at drive through restaurants, drinking only water and lots of it and keeping away from processed foods. When grocery shopping, I would stick to organic meats and…

Refocusing my Mission
Reflecting on my blogging journey that started two years ago, I realized that I’ve somewhat stepped away from the reason I started. I want to refocus on my mission and share more information with y’all like I did in the beginning. I started a blog because I wanted to have an acessable platform for my friends and family to look at that answered all of the questions that I am asked on a daily basis. I transitioned to a non toxic lifestyle and the change was so drastic that I was flooded with comments and questions by my peers. “What made me change?” “How did you start?” “How did you…

Random Spring Thoughts
The changing of the seasons makes me feel like I am constantly moving full speed. We have so many more activities to attend, yard work to accomplish and work related commitments to finish before summer. Having three kids is just my reminder to enjoy every second and don’t feel defeated when things don’t go my way or my to-do list is still a mile long. I have OCD, I want everything to be neat, organized and completely finished at any given time. Having three kids while I have OCD makes it laughable. Although, they drive me crazy with all the messes they make, it helps me be laid back…

Baking Made Fun with Foodstirs
I didn’t do a lot of baking at my house when I was growing up. My mom rarely cooked meals and when she did it was something quick and easy. We never spent time in the kitchen baking cookies or a sweet treat to snack on. Now that I am a mother with three Little’s of my own, I really find comfort in creating fun memories with them. One of the traditions we started with Nolan and continues with our growing family is having the kids help in the kitchen. On the weekends, Nolan and Harper normally help Derrek make pancakes with lots of berries, bananas and nuts. They…

Hello Spring Q and A
Spring is officially here and I am loving it! I am not a winter weather type of gal. Not only is Spring more fun because we spend most of our time outdoors but the clothes are just better! I am loving this top from Thistle and Finn and I love how it pairs well with jeans, white pants, shorts and I’m even thinking about a skirt. It’s so flattering and breastfeeding friendly so it is one of my favorite spring florals in my wardrobe. I get asked SO many questions on a day to day basis I decided to do a little Q and A blog. I really enjoy putting…
