    Our Evolving Playroom

I look back at the evolution of this little room and it’s actually quite amazing how much it has transformed over the last five years. When we first moved into this home, Derrek turned this into his office with a glass desk and a love seat but it never felt like an office. The office furniture didn’t “fit” into the space and when Nolan turned six months old, we took that furniture out and made it a playroom for him. Of course, at that time we didn’t have a large income and his playroom consisted of a few hand me down toys, bright colored playmat from Walmart and a little…

Hanging Out in the “Flamingo Room”

washable rug | floor pillow |¬†Scarlet Reese’s Pajamas | Hair Bows Pom Pom Baskets | Pom Pom Garland I hope y’all are having a great Wednesday. This post was supposed to go live on Tuesday but #momlife. I had the best intentions set out for this day and they were completely flipped upside down when I went to take Nolan to school. Locked my keys in my house and had all the kids in the car with no way to get back in or go anywhere. A few other things happened and I cried for a few hours but alas, everything is taking a turn for the better. The struggle…

Everyday playroom session: confession of a SAHWM

Nolan’s shirt | Harper’s shirt | pants | Scarlet Reese’s onsie In case you didn’t know, working at home with your kids is ridiculously hard. At the end of every single day, I am exhausted and amazed at all of the tasks I have accomplished. Some days, more things have been checked off of my to-do list than others but that’s just the way life goes. There’s nothing you can do to stop a girl that is on fire. That’s what I speak to all of my ladies on my team and to myself as a pep talk. I have goals and I refuse to push them to the sidelines…

    Mama’s Magic Coffee

Good mornin’, good mornin’ y’all! I don’t know about you but I have to start my day with a big ole cup of coffee. I’ve never been a coffee drinker but after I had Scarlet Reese something in my body just needed the perk. I’m breastfeeding so I just drink a cup a day but I savor that cup SO much y’all! I tried cold brew coffee and that’s the type that I really enjoy. The flavor to me is so much better than regular coffee and the nutritional benefits would have swayed me if the flavor didn’t. Cold-brewing is a style of coffee where the¬†grounds soak on the countertop…

My Boys – Fin First Style

Nolan’s shirt | Derrek’s shirt Any opportunity for the boys to match, I am so down! They are two peas in a pod and everything Daddy does, Nolan HAS to follow. When Nolan saw that he got the same shirt as Derrek, he couldn’t wait for him to get home so he could show him. The owner of Fin First, is a close friend of mine and spoils us from time to time with new duds. When I saw this new design called: HIGH TIDE on their social media, I knew that the boys had to have it to add to their collection. Fin First has become our favorite go-to…
