Strolling Into A New Year With Nuna

This post is in partner with Nuna. All thoughts and opinions are my own. Please read my disclaimer page for more information. The weather in South Carolina is so up and down that we never know if it’s going to be freezing cold or warm and breezey. I am 100% ok with it being warmer than normal in the winter months because I love being outside. With five littles, it really doesn’t help any of us to be cooped up inside for very long. On the weekends, I try to find something fun around town for us to go do with all the kiddos and if I can’t find something…

Must Have Kid Shoes: Freshly Picked Style

This post is in partner with Freshly Picked. All thoughts and opinions are my own. Please read my disclaimer page for more information. Baby shoes are somewhat of an oxymoron if you ask me. There are many cute shoe brands out there like Nikes and Sperries that make baby and toddler sizes, but what they do not tell you is that they will likely fall off within the first ten minutes of babies wearing them. Freshly Picked Moccasins are the only shoes I suggest for every baby shower, birthday, Easter, and Christmas gifts you buy for all of your littles and their friends, girls and boys. No matter who the recipients are,…

    Babywearing – a Motherhood Must

Babywearing is something that I do every single day. It’s how I accomplish cleaning, cooking or running errands. Looking back at being a first time mom, I really struggled more than I needed to because I didn’t babywear but I didn’t know anything about it at that point. During the newborn phase, there is nothing better than putting on a wrap and feeling your little squish pressed against you like they are still in the womb. Derrek and myself have started babywearing more and more after each baby we add to the family. I started wearing Scarlet Reese the day after she was born and would wear her pretty much…

    Something Scary Happened…

Something happened that I never in a million years expected. This story begins last Wednesday when I noticed that Vivi was developing a cough that the other kids had been passing around (thank you school germs.) Vivi is my fifth baby and I’ve had several years experience with my babies having coughs, colds, congestion… the flu. I figured this was just something I need to monitor and would pass in a few days. I’m breastfeeding and those antibodies that your milk makes normally covers your little.  Fast forward to Sunday night. I walked passed Vivi in her baby swing and did a double take. She was grey. Like, her coloring…

My Must Have Baby Registry Items

This is going to be super short and sweet because baby registries should all be both of those. I’ve learned that with babies come lots of “things” and less is more. You do not need all the things you think you do. They just take up lots of space, remain unused and you could have spent that money on things you’ll actually use like diapers. All the diapers! When I was pregnant with Nolan, I remember going to Target with the scanner and just scanning so much junk. Junk that my friends and family paid for and literally sat in piles at my house unused after the baby came. Y’all,…
