Kindergarten Toolkit Review
I’ve been looking for ways to teach Nolan while he is at home with me. He will start kindergarten next year and I wanted to jump start his learning and get him excited about going to school. The hardest part about teaching your children is the preparation involved with the lessons. Forcing your child to learn is one of the worst ways to go about introducing them to lessons so I have been searching for some fun activities for us to do together. When Kindergarten Toolkit reached out to me about trying their learning package, I jumped at the opportunity! I received this product free for review, all opinions remain…

Be still my heart!
Valentine’s Day is almost here y’all! Who else is getting pumped about all the hearts and candy? Nolan loves any excuse to celebrate, and ever since we walked into Target a few weeks ago and he saw the décor everywhere, the questions have come back-to-back! I love hearing the excitement he builds up about celebrating, and once I explained that he can give out Valentine’s to his friends, he’s been all about this holiday. When I was a kid I used to LOVE the chalky candy hearts with messages written on them, but I have since learned those little candies and others are packed with processed sugars and other yucky ingredients. Like Halloween, Easter, and Christmas, a sugar…

Babies”R”Us Registry Party
When you’re pregnant, it’s a bit overwhelming to make a baby registry, especially with all the ever-changing options out there. I’ve had two babies and now that I’m pregnant with our third, I knew exactly what I wanted for this sweet little soul in my belly. Thanks to Babies”R”Us, new mamas and mamas with multiple kids have a great place to go for more education on selecting baby products for their registry. Babies”R”Us has put together a country-wide in-store registry party where moms-to-be can go and talk to trained professionals about what products would be most beneficial to add to their registry and also ask any questions they might have. As a new mom,…

Colored Organics
Nolan’s sweatshirt | Harper’s shirt | cardigan | leggings One of the reasons why I love social media is finding amazing companies like Colored Organics. When we started communicating a few months ago about working together, I knew we would be a perfect fit! Colored Organics is a 100% sweatshop-free, organic cotton clothing company that makes the best basic clothing for yourself, little boys and girls! This company was also founded by a MOM (you know this excites me!) that was horrified that the children working in sweatshops that produce mainstream clothing are not much older than her own. She started her company, and it now makes clothing with naturally hypoallergenic fabrics that create non-toxic pieces that…

Morning Sweetness
Now that Nolan does a school lesson every morning, I make sure that he has his own space, and I get Harper set up in another room so they are out of each other’s hair for a little while. Harper normally gets a snack and picks out a book to read in her My Pello floor pillow for kids and is content during the time Nolan is working on his lesson. I really love their playroom; I tried to keep in mind what actually happens in there – lots and lots of messes. So it’s somewhat of a Montessori style room – very minimal so they actually play with the toys…
