Postpartum Self Care From a Mom of Six
I am six weeks postpartum with my sixth baby and during this season of life, it’s so clear that being a mom is hard and lovely all at once. After the baby comes, the baby is pretty much everyone’s focus including the mom and most times this can cause the one who needs the most care to feel alone and uncared for. Remembering that you cannot fill from an empty cup is crucial. I can’t say it enough, it’s IMPORTANT to remember to take care of yourself so you can take care of others. If not, you’ll end up feeling burned out, sad and that could lead to postpartum depression.…

The Best Foods To Eat When You’re Stressed
What we eat directly impacts how our minds work. The neurons (major cells of the brain) are specifically affected with what foods you consume. When you have a lot of unhealthy foods in your diet like fats and sugars, it creates inflammation of the neurons which also hinders the creation of new neurons. A Crunchy Mama’s Postpartum Must Haves
Since the last time we’ve connected, I had my sixth baby. Her birth was fast and furious starting a little after 6 AM on Monday morning and ending at 6:24 AM with her in my arms. I’m doing my best to share all things postpartum in the moment so be sure to follow me on social media to see more. One of the first things that I…

Improving the air quality in our home with air purifiers
In the world of non-toxic swaps, it can be overwhelming knowing where to start. I do suggest starting simple with things that you use a lot and being happy with any swap that you’re able to make. This makes it less overwhelming and helps you feel more accomplished with any swap you do! When I first started making my swaps to more non-toxic items, I started with food, moved to cleaning products and then my personal care products. That was over 10 years ago and since then the amount of swaps that I’ve made is honestly something that I cannot count. You can read more about making those swaps and how…

Why You Should Add Trace Minerals Into Your Filtered Water
One of the biggest swaps you can make in your non-toxic journey is making sure you drink and bathe in clean filtered water. My family and I drink A LOT of water. So much water that plastic bottles aren’t our thing (they’re wasteful, not the best quality, and not environmentally friendly) and tap water isn’t an option (go to the EWG tap water database to test what’s in your water – it’s a HUGE eye opener). It’s made me become somewhat of a water snob and for that reason, I’ve tried several water filters so I can share my honest review on them all. My absolute favorite water filtration system is linked…
