Why I made a commitment to take CBD daily

For the last few months, I did an experiment on myself.

I tried CBD during my postpartum because I felt like I was drowning. And guess what… it helped me remember that I knew how to swim.

Never in a million years would I think that I would be sitting here, writing a love letter about CBD but here I am, a TRUE believer of what it can do for us because I have seen it first hand since my sixth baby was born.

I’ll explain… my husband picked up A LOT of jobs this summer, I am thankful that he was able to do that to help us financially but…. IT. WAS. HARD.

At the end of my pregnancy I worried he would miss the baby’s birth because he was working so much and then after she came he literally had to go out of town that weekend for work.

I am thankful for my friends that stepped up during this time to help with meals and I was able to get a babysitter here and there but wow… I just knew and felt very OFF so I decided to do something about it.

I started taking a high quality CBD oil tincture and using the right dosage and within a week I could feel the difference. Over the summer I noticed that I was more relaxed, less sad, able to enjoy that time with my kids, have less brain fog and higher sleep quality. I told my therapist, it felt like the world was crazy but I was fine.

Are you a visual learner? This helped me out.

What amazes me is just how many things CBD can help with. I am so excited to learn more and share more as I do.

WHAT IS HEMP?

Part of the Cannabis family, Hemp is made up of over 140 different cannabinoids, as well as terpenes, flavonoids, fatty acids, and more. According to the 2018 Farm Bill, hemp is legally required to contain no more than 0.3% THC. Compliance with this law assures that legally grown hemp products do not contain enough THC to have psychoactive properties.

IS IT LIKE MARY JANE?

ONE OF THE MOST COMMON MISCONCEPTIONS about CBD is that it’s a drug and will get you high. It’s not. And it won’t! Let me explain; There is the cannabis plant which has different species.

One species is hemp which is high in CBD with very little to no THC. (Less than 0.3% to be exact)

Another species is marijuana which is high in THC, with smaller amounts of CBD. THC is the compound that will give you a mind altering effect.

CBD, on the other hand, will not give you a high feeling or mind altering effect. But it will work to balance your endocannabanoid system leaving your with a myriad of benefits.

Think of it like the citrus family, lots of different fruits but the same family. Marijuana would be like an orange, Hemp would be like an lime.

CBD AND HEMP

Cannabidiol (CBD) is one of over 140 different cannabinoids found in the cannabis plant. Cannabinoids are the naturally occurring, biologically active components specific to the cannabis plant. Other common cannabinoids include THC, CBG, CBN, etc. CBD has been proven to be non-addictive, safe, and has many health implications. It has generated a lot of buzz for good reason. This is due to an ever increasing amount of data on how it works, why it works, and the benefits many have experienced specific to their health and wellness. Given all of this, it is important to gain an understanding on the details of this amazing cannabinoid.

As of December 20, 2018, the U.S. Farm Bill made CBD, derived from hemp, legal. This was long overdue on what may be the most versatile plant on earth. The cannabis plant has over 50,000 usages aside from its health benefits from bioplastics, biofuel, nutrition, textiles, clothing, and shoes, just to mention a few.

SO, WHAT DO I USE?

Currently, I take the CBD 750 MG of Broad Spectrum Hemp Flower blood orange. The oil tincture is a favorite of mine because it absorbs more quickly if I have anxious feelings. I take ½ a dropper 1-2x a day. This helps support performance and active pain recovery from daily activity or exercise, assists in the relief from daily stresses, helps in maintaining a sense of calm and focus, supports a healthy regulation of appetite. support for a healthy sleep cycle  and assists the body in achieving overall homeostasis.

I also love the 150 MG Limoncello broad spectrum gummies… I take one a day and my kids take 1/8 each gummy a day. Nanotizing Hemp Extract droplets increases their bioavailability in the stomach to up to 10x – a perfect match for those who want to add an edible treat into their daily Wellness routine.

Another favorite of mine is the Immune Boost Tincture that I take with my CBD. I take this daily to support my immune system with Green Compass’ potent botanical extracts.

One of the reasons that I fell in love with this company and the brand is because of the story behind it all. Not only is the focus to clean up and regulate the CBD industry, it was founded on a mother’s need.

Please take 3 minutes to listen to our heart-felt founder, Meredith Cook, and how she found hope in hemp. She then made it her mission to share these quality, life-changing products with the world and we are so grateful.

Would you consider trying CBD and seeing what spaces it could fill in your body? I would love to see you make this positive health swap and hear your results as I have with every one of my customers thus far.

I’m curious about cbd. I’ve wanted to better understand what would work best for me. I have. Bio polar disorder, major depression and Epstein Barr. I’m always tired (sometimes surfer from debilitating exhaustion). I know I have zero lithium in my body so I take it as a vitamin and that helps. I am tired and sore from the EB.

Do you have any recommendations? I don’t want to just buy things because i have no idea where to start. Thanks

Also thank you for speaking out about your story
