strawberry + kale + banana breakfast
Happy Hump Day, y’all! I have had some questions about my breakfast smoothie bowl concoctions, so I have decided to share a recipe for one that I am really enjoying right now! I usually make a smoothie bowl if not every morning then pretty close to it! The kids drink theirs (thinned with a little filtered water), and I freeze leftovers in our popsicle molds for later when we go sit on the porch. I have previously posted about why I love smoothie bowls HERE. They are so easy to make, and I love how I can make it a more filling meal when I add toppings of my liking.
Grocery List:
(all organic ingredients)
Kale- chopped, 1 cup
Coconut Almond milk- 1 cup
Strawberries, frozen- 1 1/2 cup
1 Banana, peeled
Salba Chia ground chia seeds – 1 tablespoon
Toppings:
Banana- 1/2 sliced
Chia seeds- 1 tsp
Strawberries- 2 sliced
Mrs. Patel’s Munch Crunch- 1 tsp
Pumpkin Flax Granola- 1/4 cup of your choice
Directions:
1. Purée kale and almond + coconut milk in blender until smooth
2. Add frozen berries, banana, granola, and ground chia seeds into blender and blend until relatively smooth (you are eating with a spoon so it doesn’t have to be perfect).
3. Pour into bowl
4. Garnish with toppings of your choice and enjoy knowing that this deliciousness is good for you!
