Do I Really Need a Water Filter?

My family and I drink A LOT of water. So much water that plastic bottles aren’t our thing (they’re wasteful, not the best quality, and not environmentally friendly) and tap water isn’t an option (go to the EWG tap water database to test what’s in your water – it’s a HUGE eye opener). It’s made me become somewhat of a water snob and for that reason, I’ve tried several water filters so I can share my honest review on them all.
Every time I share about my AquaTru on Instagram, I get tons of questions, so I figured it was about time I write a dedicated blog post on the subject because it is hands down, one of my favorite items in my house (and most used)!
Investing in a quality water purification system is the best way to limit your exposure to harmful chemicals and keep your drinking water clean and free of contaminants.
There are tons of water filtration systems on the market these days, why do I love this one?
- This machine removes up to 99% of all chemical toxins
- AquaTru makes your tap water 100% lime- and chloride- free
- Saves money, plug and play, no installation required
- Compact so it doesn’t take up a lot of space on your counter
The main filtration method of the AquaTru is the ultra-reverse osmosis technology. This “ultra-reverse osmosis” is based on a filtration method where water molecules are pushed through a semi-permeable membrane. The result is that no contaminants end up in your drinking water. The difference between the ultra reverse osmosis and regular reverse osmosis is that the former is more effective at eliminating impurities. For instance, AquaTru is able to remove more harmful chemicals. Chemicals that include lead, herbicides, drug residues, pharmaceuticals and chromium. The ultra reverse osmosis works within 4 levels of filtration giving you the cleanest drinking water. You can add in trace minerals to alkalinize the water as well.
The AquaTru is super easy to use (my kids are even able to use it to get water by themselves)! After you have installed the filters and plugged it into a power socket, you can fill up the tap water tank and it will start filtering immediately. You will be provided with 3 liters of pure water within 12 to 15 minutes. Just push the blue dispenser button on the front of the device for a fresh glass of purified water. If you’re limited on space and want reverse osmosis benefits, this is for you!
Check out this video I made to see the AquaTru in action and see how easy it is to use!
I fully believe that all water should be filtered (and having psoriasis, my skin can TELL a difference when I don’t). We use the AquaTru water filtration system for our drinking water as well as this water filter on our showers and this water filter on our bath tubs for the kids.
Let me know what you questions you might still have about this water filtration system and I’ll happily answer in the comments!

Hi! Which do you like better and why….your Berkey or the Aquatru? I had an Aquasana water machine that broke so I’m looking for a replacement. Thanks for all the info you share! Always so helpful!
