What is EMF Radiation and How Can We Protect Ourselves?

Exposure to radiation carries two types of health risks; those typically associated with low level, long term exposure, such as cancer and DNA mutation and those from short term, high levels, acute exposure including burns and radiation sickness.

A few years ago, I had no clue what EMFs were. Just being honest. It’s not something that I think about on a daily basis. When I started researching I realized something. Technology has greatly improved the way that we live and communicate it has also introduced us to EMF radiation on a regular basis. By making smart choices about EMF radiation protection, we can make our homes safer for ourselves, our families, and our pets. This is creating a focus on lowering or reducing but realizing that you cannot climate completely (or can you?) maybe a conversation for another day.

From cancer to DNA damage to neurological issues, EMFs are making a horrifying impact on our health. Yet, there are also studies out there that claim cell phones and Wi-Fi are not to blame. So which side are you to pick? I think that we should all just do ourselves a favor and just check things out to know one way or the other if this is something that’s for us or something that matters to us. When I personally take into account how many devices I have in my home that adds up to be a larger amount of exposure, it leads me to the question “what do we do now?” 

When you consider that radiation is coming from a wider range of devices and sources in our homes, it adds up to a larger, cumulative amount of exposure. Almost every home in America has Wi-Fi, cell phones, microwaves, and bluetooth devices, all of these emit harmful radiation into our homes. Take a moment and add up the items you can think of that are currently in your own homes. Let’s make solutions together! Think about the best and worst places to house your devices according to your lifestyle and home layout.

One way to minimize our exposure to electromagnetic radiation is to fill our homes with plants that can absorb or eliminate these waves. Crystals and gemstones are another fantastic method of reducing EMFs in your household.  The topic of crystals gets a bit controversial, however, EMF meters will show that crystals are successful in emf radiation protection.

Crystals will not block or “erase” EMFs. Instead, they are transformed into a safer energy, resulting in a diminished reading when tested. Crystals are most effective when placed nearby the emitting device, however, you can also keep it near your body or even wear as jewelry!

My goal in this situation that we’re in is not to push any sort of agenda, but to inform you of what may be happening in our country as far as our exposure to radiation goes. I want all of my readers to be informed of this because it involves quite a bit of “out of the box” thinking. I know this information may even be shocking to some, but ultimately my goal as a healthy living blogger is to make sure that you research the types of things you may be exposed to.
