Mama Style While Breastfeeding

tank | shorts

My days are ruled by a little baby that needs me to survive. I mean, what else is mom life with a newborn? Also, I guess that I can’t call her a newborn any longer because it’s been a month and a week since she was born. Now, that’s just crazy to say! I love sweet little Mercy girl and I am so thankful and blessed to be able to breast feed her like I did with my three other kids.

Although I don’t go out that often (other than for coffee and church) I do want to feel put together. Don’t get me wrong, I love a great set of comfy pjs – I’ll def link the ones I am loving next week – but I need practical pieces that I can wear outside of the pj isle of the store. Ingrid and Isabel Maternity has been my go to clothing brand during my last two pregnancies and now for post partum.

I am obsessed with their brand because of how trendy AND how comfortable they are! I’ve documented all of my favorite styles during pregnancy and I’m so pumped to share their nursing tanks because they are PERFECT. I have the white and the black one and I’ve worn them so many ways! Of course you can wear them with pj bottoms but I also wear them with shorts during the summer.

These Ingrid and Isabel tanks are so fabulous because they do go with everything. I love to wear them with paper bag shorts because it does a great job covering up my mom bump. That area that hasn’t shrunk yet from growing a baby for nine months. I also like to pair them with kimonos and also distressed jean shorts and flip flops when I’m running errands!

Mercy is breast feeding every two(ish) hours and I love how these have a double layer so I can discreetly nurse in public. I’ve never used a nursing cover and I love these tanks so much for that reason. They really do take the place of one. It’s so hot right now and I can’t imagine getting flustered trying to get the baby to latch without giving everyone an eye full. Whatever way you look at it… style, comfort, or convenience, these are a staple for post partum in my book!
