Happy Sunday y’all! The weekend flew by but it was a well rounded combination of fun and I’m glad I get to end it cooking at home. I’m super proud of Derrek and myself for committing to eating at home more. We spent the past week days cooking up a storm (only ate out twice) and I must give credit where credit is due. ButcherBox has been a lifesaver for us because we are very particular about where our meats come from. We only eat organic meats but finding them in our town is not the easiest. Thanks to ButcherBox, I no longer have to search or go without.
Each month, ButcherBox curates a one-of-a-kind selection of the healthiest, tastiest meats, humanely raised and free of antibiotics and hormones. Or you can customize your box and select your favorite cuts and get 20% more meat. The price works out to less than $6.00/meal and shipping is always free.
ButcherBox is now offering wild salmon in their boxes! The salmon comes from the pristine waters of Bristol Bay, Alaska and they’ve partnered with with fishermen who uphold strict fishing and handling practices. This month, I added salmon to our monthly order and was really impressed at how delicious the filets were when I cooked them. I used a Himalayan salt block in the oven to give the salmon the perfect seasoning. I cook with my salt block quite often and I love the flavor it gives to meats and veggies. You can learn more about cooking with one by clicking here.
Order your first ButcherBox today and you’ll get two pounds of Wild Caught Alaskan Sockeye Salmon absolutely free in your first ButcherBox! The deal is only valid until Thursday, January 31st. Leave me a comment if you make this recipe, I’d love to hear how your family liked it!
