    Berry Chocolate Smoothie Raw Jar

I am pretty consistent with my breakfasts… eggs, avocado toast, fresh juice, oatmeal or smoothies. When I make my smoothies thinner or make fresh juice, I like to use my glass Raw Jars. My Raw Jars are also a favorite of mine for measuring my water intake because on the side there is a liquid measurer. I found this product on Instagram at the beginning of this year, and I’ve been using it every day since. I have two of them, a small jar and a large. I like to use the large jar for my juices and water and the small jar for my smoothies. I’ve shared a smoothie…

    Go-go Juice

Can y’all believe the weekend is almost here?! We are very ready for a little break from our work week, but with a few more days left, I’ve been relying on juicing veggies and fruits to give me extra bursts of energy! I have never been much of a coffee drinker, so when I was introduced to juicing about three years ago, it became my “coffee.” I love all of the benefits that come out of juicing fresh vegetables and fruits. I make sure that we do it once a day when we’re at home so we can all get some extra nutrients! Juicing separates the juice from the fiber…

strawberry + kale + banana breakfast

Happy Hump Day, y’all! I have had some questions about my breakfast smoothie bowl concoctions, so I have decided to share a recipe for one that I am really enjoying right now! I usually make a smoothie bowl if not every morning then pretty close to it! The kids drink theirs (thinned with a little filtered water), and I freeze leftovers in our popsicle molds for later when we go sit on the porch. I have previously posted about why I love smoothie bowls HERE. They are so easy to make, and I love how I can make it a more filling meal when I add toppings of my liking.…

    Heavenly Oatmeal Bars

Hey y’all! I have been dying to share this recipe that is bound to satisfy your sweet tooth, but still skips a lot of the unhealthy calories from inhaling a box of white powdered donuts (replace this with your favorite unhealthy treat, powdered donuts just happen to be my particular weakness). I make a big batch of this at the beginning of the week and keep them in a glass container in the fridge for easy access. The kids gobble them down, Derrek eats a few, and my mom (who typically doesn’t really love healthy eating) said they were delicious! They are so easy to make, and you can change…

    Chi-chi-chia everything!

Happy Foodie Friday, y’all! I am sharing with y’all one of my favorite additions to any meal—chia seeds! I find new ways to use chia seeds in recipes every day with the help of Pinterest, and I love how the food turns out every time. These tiny seeds are packed with nutritional benefits. I recommend chia to anyone—especially people with allergies or who live a vegan lifestyle. If you are trying to lose weight, eat chia before your meal, and it will keep you from eating so much. Pregnant women should eat chia during their pregnancy for the omega three they need to produce for their developing babies’ brain development. When mixed…
