Childproofing My Stairs

I have never been able to baby proof my stairs! Normal baby gates have never even been an option because of the way the stairs were built. This has driven me crazy throughout our five years living here and I am SO happy to say, the issue has finally been fixed.

This gate is from North States Baby and can be bolted to the wall (as shown) or put together circular wide and used as a play pen. I decided it was much needed for our stairs and wha-lah, homegirl can’t wander up the stairs anymore. I can finally feel safe when I walk out of a room and know she isn’t headed up there as quickly as possible. All places in our home are babyproofed except for that area and thankfully that finally changed.

In order for the kids to get back to their playroom, they have to pass by the stairs. Before this baby gate, it was to sweet a temptation for any of them, but now it’s off limits. Y’all have no idea how many times I’ve had to run over to these steps and grab a baby before they fall or headed up to our second floor. Knowing that this area is protected is such a mental relief, I am beyond thankful to have finally found a solution. Now, more than ever, Scarlet Reese actually goes to the playroom to play!
