What are macros? How I learned about them through Faster Way

Since starting my journey with Faster Way, I am often asked: What exactly IS a macro?

Macros are much more than just a popular buzzword right now. Macros are a foundation for a healthy lifestyle and they’ll help you hit your goals faster and more effectively.

Macronutrients (or macros for short) are the molecules our bodies need to grow and be active. We use these molecules as energy to do work on a cellular, tissue, organ, and organismal level. This energy helps us break down nutrients, repair damaged cells, grow new cells, and more. Macronutrients are broken down into three basic categories: carbohydrates, protein, and fat.

Faster Way not only uses this approach but teaches their clients why this is important and how it works. If you’re a visual learner like me, signing up for the program will be extremely beneficial because you not only get access to weekly zooms to teach you about these things but you’re also connected with a coach that helps you one on one.

Macros are something that confuse a lot of people, so I wanted to share this little cheat sheet with you.

The premise of Faster Way to Fat Loss is eating in different ways at different times, like low carb.

What does low carb mean?

I love that Faster Way teaches to cycle carbs and some days you will eat more carbs than others but also WHY this works. Cycling back and forth helps the body function at high levels. Going back and forth from low-carb days (we eat low carb and high fat with moderate protein) to regular macro days (we balance our macros, which is TYPICALLY 45% carbs, 30% fat, and 25% protein)—helps rev up thyroid function with an adequate amount of carbs.  Adding that to low macro days (where you drop down on calories a bit), and (if you’re not pregnant) occasional 24-hour fast days. All of these work in unison together.

Have you ever wanted to press the easy button with eating healthy? What about with losing weight? Or even maintaining where you’re at? If you answered yes to any of those questions, you should definitely take a peek inside the world a faster way. I have been very surprised in a positive way about the results I’ve gotten in such a small period of time. I truly believe in this program and I feel like with spring right around the corner is the perfect opportunity to start. Their next round starts in March, click the link here to gain access and get paired with a coach so you’re not alone!
