#TakeTheJob

Something that I am very open about is how much my life has changed since I decided to “take the job.” For those of you that have no clue what I am referring too, here’s the scoop.

I am a very stubborn person and I always feel like my choices are the best. This is something that I constantly work on and try to get better about on the daily. Before I started working with Beautycounter, I set myself up for failure by telling myself the typical responses that I hear from others on why I just couldn’t join as a consultant. “I don’t know that many people.” “I am not a sales person.” “I am just to busy.” “I already work for other companies.” “I don’t have enough money to invest.” These are all just a few of the things I would say to stop the process of joining. What I didn’t realize is that I was the sole reason why I was failing and it all had to do with my thought process.

Three years into my job as a consultant with Beautycounter and I am almost at the top of the company. Granted, it has taken a lot of hard work to get here but I am proud of all that I have put into this job and how much it has changed me as a person. I am a better mother, wife and friend because working this business has made me focus on others more than myself. It’s made me put myself out there and get out of my hermit crab mentality on a daily basis. I am so thankful that I quit holding myself back because it has opened so many doors I never thought could open and helped me grow so much as a person. This job isn’t about selling a charcoal bar, (even though we do have the best charcoal bar there is) it’s about sharing important educational information with others and changing lives because of it.

We all have a voice and what we share with others matters. We are so quick to tell our friends and family about a great restaurant we love or a pair of shoes we bought from Target but so quiet about issues that we see affecting people around us. Think about this… years ago, there were no car seat laws or smoking bans on airplanes, but now there are! These are called “common sense” laws, and even though we see them as simple, they make a big difference in our health and safety. We should have the same “common sense” laws and regulations in our beauty industry. It’s a shame that it’s not common sense that what we are getting sick in numerous ways and it’s directly connected to the products we apply to our bodies everyday. Joining Beautycounter means that you will be making a direct impact on your own health and in anyone else’s that you choose to share this information with. It means that you have a bigger purpose in helping spread the word in safer beauty.

Not only has this job helped me make a positive impact on others, it’s allowed me the blessing to form friendships with bright, kind and educated women. The consultants that have become my friends are all over the United States and it’s pretty magical to have that type of connection with so many like minded people. I am not someone who has ever had a large group of friends so being able to surround myself with intelligent and genuine people has been a dream come true. These women have become my best friends some are even like family! If you are looking for a way to better yourself and your life, look no farther!

Over all, the magic of Beautycounter is real and once you join, you realize how spectacular it is and what makes this company so different from others. It doesn’t matter if you’re a makeup junkie or naturalist, there is a place for you in this company! What’s holding you back from taking the job? It very well could be the best decision you could make for yourself and help you make an impact while making an income. Please feel free to reach out with any questions you might have about joining, I would love nothing more than to start this year off with a bang.
