Playroom Vibes
Earlier this month, the talented photographer, Kristina Mosley, shot us in our home. I really wanted a lifestyle session in our home to document a moment in time for my family. I feel like the kids are growing SO fast and having photos of us together in our home will always be a treasure for me to look at. You can catch the first half of our shoot here. She ended up taking so many beautiful pictures that I am breaking them into separate blog posts. I LOVE the moments she captured of us, and especially of the kids, in their playroom. I really wanted this room to be light and neutral for both of them to use, so I saved their rooms to show their individual personalities. They LOVE laying on their soft shaggy rug in their tee pee and reading books. I painted the top of their desk with chalkpaint and sectioned off a portion of a wall in the playroom and made a big chalkboard for them to create their masterpieces on. Nolan has recently become a puzzle fanatic, so he puts one together a few times a week. I cannot get over how fast the kids are growing and how many new things they learn daily. It’s really important for them to have toys that help them learn something while they play. Nolan and Harper watch a 30 minute show in the morning after breakfast and a 30 minute show before bedtime, so they have tons of games in their play room to keep them entertained when we are home!
