Mailroom Barber + Supporting Small Businesses
Okay, guys…. I am SO excited to talk about this experience the boys and I were able to have recently. It’s not everyday that I take time to make myself feel beautiful, when The Mailroom Barber wanted to collaborate with us, I literally JUMPED at the chance.
The Mailroom Barber is a salon for both men and women based here in Florence, SC. They have licensed and professional barbers and cosmetologists who are dedicated to perfection with each client. From the moment we walked in the door, we felt like royalty (how could you not while drinking a mimosa?) The Mailroom Barber and Studio exists for people who refuse to settle for bad haircuts or color, and cheap, mass produced products that don’t work.
I am also obsessed with the fact that they create their own product line of nontoxic and high-performing products for both men and women and you can purchase them right there in their store. Like I mentioned before, they have a whole team of skilled barbers and colorists but they also have a team who works in the handmade production of their in-house products. They take pride in making sure all of their ingredients are ethically sourced!
You can see from our photos, that we had the best time getting our hair cuts. I loved the results we all ogt and Nolan felt like such a big boy getting his hair cut at such a “grown up” cool place! They treated us like royalty and we all left feeling refreshed and renewed!
I know that times are tough right now and that this is an especially hard time for small businesses. The Mailroom Barber has been closed for 2 weeks and it looks like it will be a few more weeks before they open again. Because Derrek and I are small business owners, we understand the importance of supporting as many as we can during this time. For that reason, we are still continuing to buy their products and referring our friends and family to do the same! The other thing you can do to support them is shop their AMAZING in house product line here. I can promise, you will not be disappointed!
Nolan and Derrek always go get their haircuts together and I’m glad that they have that male bonding time. Shortly after we moved to Florence, Nolan received a “bad hair cut” from a hole in the wall barber. After that day, he refused to go anywhere but the Mailroom Barber because they do such an amazing job and he just loves going to that barber shop. Now that they’ve added a second location in Florence, it’s actually closer to our house and easier for the guys to shoot over to get their hair edged up. Both guys hair is so thick, it’s so nice that they can get cleaned up and looking snazzy. Nolan loves stying his hair like Derrek’s (short on the sides and long on top) so, he has to use the Mailroom pomade product. I resisted cutting his hair for so long due to not being able to find non toxic men’s hair products. Thankfully now, I’ve found several options for the guys at the Mailroom.
I literally get my hair done 2-3x a year so heading out to get a little chop chop was a huge treat for me. My hair falls out so badly about 4 months postpartum. When it’s coming out by the handfuls, I like to get it cut shorter than normal to help the shedding
