happy Monday ya’ll! I don’t know about you but I am SUPER excited because today is a holiday. It’s like getting an extra long vacation weekend. When the kids are in school it’s a constant driving game that I play… I feel like an Uber driver! On holidays I take full advantage on not having to get everyone up and out the door by a certain time. When I don’t have to be somewhere at the crack of dawn, I can gradually get ready and look like a presentable human being.

I am big fan of recycling outfits and this one is on constant repeat in my closet. I told y’all that I rarely have time to get ready when I have to take the kids to school so looking like this happens every few days. I love by just changing the shoe that it gives you two completely different looks. Along side the recycling of the shoes, I also want to share how I switch up my outfits… LIPSTICK.

You’re probably thinking “where is she going with this?” and soon you will see. Whenever I don’t have a lot of time to get ready (always), I throw on a bright lipstick and go. Before I had kids I was all about making my lip gloss poppin’ but now, I am all about a lipstick. Not just any lipstick, the lip sheer and color intense formula’s by Beautycounter.

Before this brand, I always disliked lipstick because it felt like thick paste on my face. But thanks to their lip sheers it changed my entire perspective. I bought one and thought (holy crap, no way I’m spending this much money on a lipstick) but once I tried it, I realized why it cost so much and why it was worth it. The silky-smooth formula is lightweight yet ultra-moisturizing for the perfect mix of sheer color and polished sheen. Plus, there’s no synthetic fragrance–just a sophisticated hint of natural vanilla. It’s like wearing a tinted chapstick. OH YES PLEASE! But wait, don’t let me forget the other love in my lipstick life. The first long-wearing, one-swipe lip lineup by Beautycounter. Eight vibrant shades ranging from neutral hues to intense red deliver the rich color payoff you want, with the safety you deserve. The color intense lipsticks are also equally as amazing and perfect for a bolder, long lasting color.

Between the two lines, I have several favorites. Lip sheer: Coral, Lily, Orchard, Texas Poppy. Lip stick: Garden Party, 9 to 5, Brunch, Sunset and Girls Night.

The reason why I’m sharing this clean swap on Monday is because this is such an important one to make. As women, we put on so many makeup and skincare products every single day. Lipstick is in the top of the most toxic on the market. As lipstick is applied on your mouth, it’s no surprise we ingest what we put on, including artificial fragrance. Artificial fragrances can be a blend of ingredients that are not required to be disclosed by U.S. law and can include trace amounts of phthalates (potential endocrine disruptors). That leaves a bad taste in our mouths, too. You can see the full line of my favorite lipsticks by heading to my website. If you have any questions about colors, please send me a message.
