Our newest little love turned four weeks old this past weekend and Derrek and I were able to sneak away on a little day date with each other! My sister watched her for a little over an hour after I fed her and we went to a restaurant near her house. It was so good to spend one on one time with my Hubby. Now that there are three littles in our house, there’s always someone needing one of us and we haven’t had a lot of time to ourselves. It’s understandable and I know that soon that will change and we will be able to get more “us time” but until then, not passing up opportunities for alone time no matter how short is really important for us. I really think that no comparing your present to others is always something you need to keep in mind. Comparison is the thief of joy and remembering that can save you a lot of unnecessary heart ache.

For our little day date, I wanted to wear an outfit that made me feel sexy but not to over the top! I have fallen in love with suede for fall and 80% of my wardrobe has something with it on it. This skirt from Hazel and Mae stopped me dead in my tracks when I saw it. I’ve been wanting one and this one is perfection! I styled it with a simple black tank but imagine the possibilities. Off the shoulder tops, denim button ups, maroon, olive green, white… The combos are endless and flattering. I added open toed black suede booties from Dottie Couture and wowza, my hubby couldn’t keep telling me how gorg I looked! Making time for you and your significant other and finding outfits that flatter your body and your soul are crucial, especially after having a baby. Make sure you make time for yourself so you can keep everything else around you in check!
