The Perfect HIGHLIGHTER for Anyone!
Hey ya’ll! I hope you all are having a wonderful day and enjoying the Christmas spirit that’s running wild this time of year. The weather in South Carolina has turned SUPER chilly and it’s calling for snow. I honestly won’t believe it til I see it because snow in SC is a rare siting. Because of this, I am taking the time to give my dull skin a little extra GLOW this season. In the last year, I have become obsessed with highlighters! I’ve tried the creamy ones that launched last year during the Beautycounter holiday collection and that’s what started my obsession.
Beautycounter launched two pressed highlighter powders earlier this year, and that’s what really took my highlighter obsession to the next level. These are made with ultra-fine pearls that instantly brighten features and give skin a luminous glow. These highlighters catch the light with a pearlized sheen that’s never glittery. This formula is triple-milled to a silky-smooth texture so it lays down evenly and blends seamlessly. Includes removable mirror. Hello gorgeous!
The new Holiday collection took my love for highlighters to a new level. I am obsessed with this Highlighter Palette and it’s the perfect gift to give to yourself or to a family member for Christmas. It’s priced at $49 and will last you over a year! Check out a few of my most frequently asked questions below.
Q: Should I choose a powder or a cream formula?
A: Our cream formulas lead a dewy sheen finish while the powders give an airy, lightweight glow.
Q: What shades should I choose?
A: illuminating cream highlighters; light skin tones = pearl glow, medium skin tones = rose glow, deep skin tones = bronze glow.
luminous powder highlighter; Halo gives more a of a cool, pink sheen while Topaz is more of a warm, bronze finish.
Q: Where should I apply highlighter?
A: swipe onto the high points of your face: the top of your cheekbones, down the bridge of your nose, brow bone, and Cupid’s bow.
Q: What do I use to apply highlighter?
A: apply powder formulas with our Fan Powder Brush and blend in the cream formulas with your finger.
Q: Do I apply highlighter before or after blush?
A: apply your highlighter last so the glow can really shine.
Q: When do I use the three different shades in the First Light Highlighter palette?
A: I’ll let you be the judge but here is what I like to do. Halo for everyday wear. Golden when we go bold. Sunkissed for a bronzed glow. When I am in a rush and need help with dull skin, I use all three. I use Halo around my eyes in a “C” shape and down the bridge of my nose, Golden for eyeshadow and Sunkissed for a bronze contour.
Let me know if you have any questions about any of the products! I would love to help you get safer products for Christmas! The holiday shipping cut off date is December 17th and so many holiday sets are already sold out. Don’t wait until it’s too late to get your order in.

On the perfect highlighter for anyone post, does beauty counter get these back every year? I love the highlighter kit they had. There was a 1,2,3 mask with brush kit they had that you also did a post about… I was just wondering if they will offer these things again because they are no longer available?

hey! Beautycounter doesn’t bring back holiday sets unless they preform really well! I miss those mask sets too!
