Natural Remedies for Morning Sickness

My sixth pregnancy has brought the most intense nausea and morning sickness – worse than I’ve ever experienced before. And, to be honest, it’s been more like all day sickness than just in the morning. I’ve really struggled with being so sick and have spent the last few months constantly searching for ways to manage it so I can ENJOY this pregnancy and still function in my daily life. I don’t want to just sit in the bathroom all day and honestly with other kids to take care of, it’s just not feasible.

With the help of my midwife, trusted friends and my ability to research, I found several things that helped me when I felt so bad. *note: I am not a medical provider. The follow is what I used and are only suggestions. Please connect with your medical provider about what you should do*

Here is what I used for nausea and feeling bad in the first trimester:

One of my favorite places to pick up these items is a local healthy food store called SC Real Foods. They also shared a post recently with some ideas to help if you have morning sickness, but these items would even help if you just have an upset stomach or the flu.

I haven’t used over the counter or prescription medicine for almost ten years and thankfully, I’ve been able to find holistic alternatives for pretty much everything I’ve been faced with. This pregnancy has been no exception… it’s really important to me to use things that benefit myself and my baby and with as least side effects as possible. Researching nausea remedies and also medications with their side effects helped me make the choices I’ve made.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
