I get SO many questions about this particular subject. Date night. How do you do it with FOUR kids? Well guys, it’s like scheduling a trip to outer space! haha. But really, it can be really difficult to find the time to focus on my hubby with our littles constantly needing me. I am so thankful for a few reliable people that help Derrek and I have one on one time once or twice a week. We never leave everyone for several hours… maybe one or two. It’s the perfect amount of time for Derrek and I to hit up Target (my pick) or dinner and a movie.

I have mostly worn pjs since Mercy was born and I needed to update my wardrobe with a few nicer pieces that would transition into fall. Since it’s still sweltering hot here in South Carolina, I’m opting for darker colors and prints that I can wear now and later. I had a hair appointment last week at my favorite salon – SoLace in Lake City, SC. Lizzie Langston is not only the owner of this fabulous place but is also a friend, Beautycounter teammate and the brilliant mind behind my new hair do. It’s such a joy every time I get to hang out with her. While I was at her salon, I also checked out the new styles she has for fall in her boutique.

I found this gorgeous floral top and corduroy shorts that I knew I could pair with each other and other pieces to wear during fall. I love that this top is flowy enough to cover my midsection which is taking its sweet time going back to normal. I’m really self conscious about that area right now and this top makes it look non exsistant. I know that as it gets cooler, I can style with jeans and a cardigan or jean jacket. I love how it has a lot of colors that you can play up with statement earrings as well. These green cord shorts are FABULOUS! I am living in these right now because of the color and how they go with everything! I can wear them with a dressy top like this or a white vneck and denim shirt with the sleeves rolled up. I think that when it gets cooler, they would look so great with over the knee boots and a sweater!

SoLace Boutique has so many fabulous styles that will transition easily into fall. Lizzie works really hard at bringing the best of the best styles back from market and into your wardrobe. If you need statement pieces, make sure to check out the boutique’s website and grab them before they are gone! One thing is for certain, her selections sell out quickly because they are SO cute.
