Ahhhhh, we still can’t believe it! We were all for certain that our last babe would be a boy but let’s give it up to the Scott babies for always doing their thing! Haha.
When the ultrasound showed that we are in fact having a girl we were all in shock and Nolan just started crying. I felt so bad because I knew that he wanted a baby brother more than anything. We explained to him that either way, this baby will love him tremendously and he felt better. It’s easy to say “I want a girl” or “I want a boy” but let’s keep it real. God has made the decision before we even thought about the statement.
I know Nolan will be a great big brother to all his little sisters and we softened the blow by bringing home our new puppy, Elvis, home with us! If you keep up with my instastories then you knew about Elvis a few weeks ago. He is a golden doodle puppy. We had to wait a little while to get him because he was only drinking milk and not weaned yet. Y’all, he is so stinking cute and follows all three kids around all over the house. He has stolen our hearts after only being here for two days!
Back to my other babe… baby girl Scott! Along with finding out that we are adding another woman into the mix, I found out that I am actually two and half weeks farther along in this pregnancy than I thought. I was going off of my last period as you are normally told to do but the ultrasound confirmed that my due date is actually 7/8. My children have never been born on their actual due date, so I honestly just guesstimate that part of my pregnancy. Babies come when they are ready so I can’t depend on an exact date. I can’t believe that this will be my third July baby and with Derrek and my birthdays in July, you could say we are due for one big family party! hahaha!
Now, let’s talk about the fun part. CRAVINGS! I’ve been around so much good food lately… baby Scott and I have really soaked that all in. Every morning, I still want eggs and avocado toast but I’m now topping my eggs with ketchup. I’ve NEVER done this until now but it makes me giggle everytime I do. It tastes so dang good, it’s like a party in my mouth. I’m also loving fresh salads with lots of toppings and all things citrus. I’m actually going to share the most amazing salad with grapefruit and a honey Dijon dressing on the blog next week and y’all are gonna die. This dish is delish!
Please feel free to send me your questions about pregnancy or anything. I would love to share and open up about any of it since it is my fourth go around.
