How to Wear a Body Suit
Ya’ll… I am not gonna lie. Anything tight on my body right now is not my favorite. It has taken a lot longer for my body to bounce back after baby number four. I am so used to being able to eat whatever I want after having a baby and breastfeeding doing all the work. Between vacations, Thanksgiving, and Christmas my diet is all sorts of off track but as of today, mama is going to get it right. (More to come on this topic this upcoming week)
The whole bodysuit trend has been on my mind for a while.. like, since I was 7 months pregnant and could not even imagine pulling it off. Here I am almost six months post partum, late to the game but yet I tried one and I love it. As y’all know, I am a huge Vici Dolls fan.. pretty much my entire wardrobe come from their boutique. They have daily 20% off coupons and their clothes are amazing quality. I saw this body suit and these high waisted pants and thought “this will totally work for me.” I ordered them from Vici and was super impressed at how it makes me look “skinner.” Before anyone starts in on me about wanting to look skinny, let me say that I am not obsessed with it but if I try on an outfit and it happens to flatter my body just so, I am all about it. This duo does it perfectly.
In my opinion, the key to wearing a body suit is a great pair of high waisted pants paired with it. I love these because of the buttons and ripped details but if you want to try another route, I suggest a pair of paper bag pants with bell bottoms. They just help even out your silhouette perfectly. There are a few body suit options left at Vici, so I am linking the page here.
Ok, I’ve gotta make sure that I share all the details of this outfit because it is hands down one of my favs for winter. My jacket is from two years ago but is perfect for winter. I love a good jacket that hits below the knee because it just makes everything look perfectly put together. This blush color is one of my favorites and is one I cannot stay away from. I found these caauteeee Jessica Simpson crushed velvet booties and I fan girled them so hard I couldn’t let them out of my hands. They are so comfy but add the most dramatic flare to any outfit! I also have my Sseko Designs wallet handy because duh… my wallet is my life! I often stuff my phone in this and carry it as a clutch when I’m out. How gorgeous is it?
