Fourth of July has got to be one of my favorite holidays of the year! Not only is it right smack dab in the middle of Nolan and Derrek’s birthdays but come on.. the clothes, the food, the FIREWORKS, the beach days? Come on, what’s not to love?!
As many of ya’ll know, I have partnered with Old Navy to help #sayhi with their summer collection and highlight some of their favorite looks of the season. You can see my previous blog about their Havana Prep Collection here but this blog is all about their Americana Collection.
Finding cute July 4th, red, white and blue clothing for the kids has been SO MUCH FUN! I always love when they color coordinate and what better time than to celebrate our Stars and Stripes. Harper and Scarlet Reese’s outfits were a NO brainer because I love a good plaid and so do they. I let Harper pick out her dress and when we popped over to the baby line over on the website and she got SO excited when she saw an outfit for Scarlet Reese that matched her dress. The material on these two are so soft and I love that they are getting a lot of use out of them this summer. Nolan loves, loves, LOVES tie-dye so when I found this cute little shirt on the Old Navy website I had to get it. He is really independent about what he wears and picks out every outfit so I knew he would opt for this a lot more if it appealed to his taste. For my outfit, I decided to step outside of my comfort zone and wear a pop of color that I never do; RED! I loved this little top because I can wear it with so much. denim shorts, skinnies, a maxi skirt or these blue shorts that I picked up on the Old Navy website as well. It’s SO cute and the fit is flattering, you can’t beat that with a stick!
Now that we are all decked out for Fourth of July, I can focus on the fun activities that we have planned. We are hitting up the beach, eating lots of watermelon and grilled foods AND meeting up with friends to hang out and shoot fireworks. What do ya’ll have planned for July 4th?
