Family Vacation to Myrtle Beach

Hey ya’ll! Happy Monday! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and are settling into a new week. Monday’s have become my favorite new day of the week and it’s because I get to focus my mind back on my blog and work. Ya’ll, it’s so much fun to share and connect with you! When we traveled to Myrtle Beach, SC for the kid’s Spring Break vacation earlier this year, I was flooded with questions. So many of you are interested in heading to Myrtle Beach and I can see why. The beaches are beautiful, places to stay are endless and there is tons of good food and entertainment. I hope this little travel guide helps you plan your trip with a little fuss as possible.

Lodging
Of course, there are tons of hotels in this area but since our family is quite larger now I wanted to find a better bang for our buck than buying a few hotel rooms for the week. I did price out condos as well but I couldn’t find an updated one that would accommodate us. I turned to the Air B and B for the remainder of my search and man there is a ton of options there! I knew that we wanted something one the beach or across the street so we could easily walk there with the kids so I entered that into my search criteria and found the little gem of a house we stayed in during our trip.

The house we stayed in is four stories and the perfect amount of room for all of us. The kids had their own rooms, there were two extra so we could have guests and there was a full kitchen so we could cook breakfast and make lunches for the beach. We loved how new and updated everything is at the house. It had WiFi so Derrek and I could binge on Netflix every night after the kids were sleeping but FYI only basic cable. If you use THIS LINK to book your stay at an Air B and B you’ll get $40 off your home booking. And they get $15 to use toward an experience worth $50 or more.

Food
Obviously, this is important to Derrek and myself. I mean, when we go on vacation we want to eat the things we don’t have in our town. We are also really picky with what we spend our money on and for this reason you will know that our list includes the best of the best in taste! For breakfast, I would totally go to Blueberry’s Grill, everything on their menu is insanely delicious. For lunch, I love lighter options like Kindbelly Cafe, Croissants, Bay Naturals, Fresh Market, Wok on the Beach or King Sushi. For dinner, there are SO many options that it’s totally up to what you’re craving. We love Hook and Barrel, Bonefish Grill, Tupelo Honey Cafe, Ruth’s Chris, Wicked Tuna, and Nakato Japanese Steakhouse.

Entertainment
This is where the fun begins! Of course, if you’re at the beach you would want to go to the beach and being honest, it’s where we spend most of our time when we go. But outside of that, there is plenty to do! There is mini golf, the Boardwalk, Broadway at the Beach, Pirates Voyage, Medevil Times, Ripley’s Aquarium, Fun Warehouse, Myrtle Waves Water Park, Brookgreen Gardens and SO MUCH MORE! There are entertainment brochures everywhere so just grab one or ask around when you’re in public to get more information! Theres also the Market Common and Tanger Outlets for my favorite shopping!
