8 Reasons You Should Eat More Persimmons + My Favorite Persimmon Jelly Recipe

One of the biggest reasons why I love our new home is because of all the edible landscaping the previous owners did. Amongst them are two persimmon trees that I have loved watching since we moved here. Every day we get a bit closer to having an abundance of orange-colored fruits with sweet, honey-like flavor.

Have you ever had a persimmon? They pack a major health punch filled with nutrients like vitamins A, C, E, and K, potassium, manganese and copper, antioxidants that help prevent or slow cell damage by counteracting oxidative stress, reducing inflammation, and rich in fiber… the list is never ending on why these are so good for you!
