As a family of six, I have more than my fair share of laundry to do. I am washing, drying and folding at least two loads of laundry a day. If I do not keep up with it every day, it builds up and makes me really flustered. I have an issue with clutter and chaos so I keep my house really clean (well, as clean as possible with three littles) and that always helps me destress. I’ve always liked for my space to be neat and well maintained and as I get older, I see a direct correlation between keeping up with daily cleaning like laundry and my stress levels. If I let things get out of hand, I am in a bad mood and really flustered.
I have also dealt with psoriasis issues since I was in college and once I became pregnant, I started researching what triggers it. It’s not fun to have the flairups and they happen due to high levels of stress and/or fragrance in my personal care products. This also includes laundry products. For this reason, I chose to switch to safer with my laundry products. Detergents and dryer sheets happen to be very toxic and I highly recommend looking up what you use on Environmental Working Group. Even brands labeled as “organic” “natural” or “for sensitive skin” can cause health issues.
I am asked weekly about our laundry products and I am so excited to chat with you about them. We’ve used the same laundry detergent for almost a year and I haven’t needed/wanted to switch to anything else. My husband is SO picky when it comes to what products we use from deodorants to laundry detergents, that man has the final say! I can say with 100% honesty that he LOVES Molly Suds as much as I do. He has an issue with his gym clothes being stinky but with Molly Suds it takes all of that away! I use the blue bag for our regular loads of laundry and the yellow bag for whites. I would say a regular sized bag lasts us two months so it’s honestly not that more expensive for me price wise as other brands. I buy ours from Grove. If you choose to shop there not only will you get a great discount but you’ll get $10 off your first purchase with this code.
You can read more about why we love Molly Suds by clicking here. That post also explains what I use in the place of dryer sheets. We haven’t used dryer sheets in our house in over 6 years and we haven’t missed them. They are very toxic and I strongly suggest looking up the ones you use on the Environmental Working Group website.
