Taking Your Health Into Your Own Hands
I often get asked HOW to start transitioning to a healthier lifestyle and my answer is simple. CHOOSE to start and focus on one area to change first. If you decide you want to live healthier and non toxic and think about changing everything at once, it’s going to overwhelm you and chances are, you wont start. You’ll just keep putting it off and putting it off verses just starting somewhere. I chose to clean up my food first. This meant not eating at drive through restaurants, drinking only water and lots of it and keeping away from processed foods. When grocery shopping, I would stick to organic meats and…

Refocusing my Mission
Reflecting on my blogging journey that started two years ago, I realized that I’ve somewhat stepped away from the reason I started. I want to refocus on my mission and share more information with y’all like I did in the beginning. I started a blog because I wanted to have an acessable platform for my friends and family to look at that answered all of the questions that I am asked on a daily basis. POPS of Color
The transition from Winter to Spring is not only seen outdoors but with our wardrobes as well. Our goes our winter wear like heavy coats, dark jewel tones and warm boots and in comes shortsleeves, bright colors and patterns. I love a good neutral but POPS of color always catch my eye. Since I was in high school, I’ve coveted Lilly Pulitzer pieces. They are a huge investment so I opt for pieces that I LOVE and know I get lots of wear out of. This dress from Lilly always gets lots of compliments. It’s so flattering and I wear it a lot in the warmer months. It’s sold out…

Trendy Teething Necklaces
Harper’s necklace | my necklace The weekends are when I feel like I have my life together. That’s when Derrek is home, the house is clean and I have help with the kids. We always head out somewhere on a family adventure and I actually look put together for once. For those that think I try to post like I have “the perfect life” all I can do is laugh. It’s so far from the truth. Today has been a complete S-show and I swear, I’ve cried multiple times over not being able to accomplish anything. I had some super witty mumble-jumbo written for this post and I just deleted…

Sunday Funday at Carolina Roadhouse
This past weekend, Scarlet Reese turned two weeks old! It’s hard to believe that it has been two weeks she since entered our lives, we love life with her! I haven’t really ventured away from home since she was born and I was hit with a case of cabin fever. We decided to make a quick family trip to the beach to eat at one of our favorite restaurants, Carolina Roadhouse, so I could get out of the house for a little bit and we could all enjoy some good food! Before we had kids, Derrek and I used to go there on dates and now as a family, we…
