Happy Love day y’all! For me, Valentine’s Day takes on such a bigger meaning than getting a present. It’s about spending quality time with my Husband. Four years ago, we had our first Valentine’s Day together. Derrek made it really special by taking me to our favorite hotel the night before where we went to a romantic dinner and then the next morning had room service for breakfast. For lunch, he took me to my favorite restaurant in Georgetown and proposed to me. It was the most unforgettable experience I’ve ever had because he thought of all of my favorite things and made sure they were there!
Every year for Valentine’s Day he gets me flowers and we go out to eat. When you cook three meals a day 7 days a week, spending time across the table from my man eating amazing food prepared by someone else is like a 7 day vacation. Now that the morning sickness has subsided my love for food as returned so we went for a one on one date. It means so much more to me for him to spend time with me than spend money. We ate apps, dinner and dessert. I love a good piece of cheesecake and haven’t indulged in months so it meant a lot and we really enjoyed ourselves.
I’ve been living in leggings lately and these pleather pair from Preggo Leggings were perfect for a date with my man. He grabbed my booty a few times and complimented me on how nice they were so I know I got his approval, haha! I paired it with this fuschia tunic from Shop Lila Rose and the two pieces played off of each other effortlessly. As you know, from my past blogs, I love finding clothing that can be worn multiple ways and both of these pieces can be transformed easily with my wardrobe.
I hope that y’all are enjoying your day and enjoy your Valentine’s or Galentine’s and treat yourself to a sweet dessert!
