Smoothie Bowls made easy with Blendtec

I received this product in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own. Read my disclaimer page for more information.

I’m sharing one of my (and the kids) favorite foods to prepare: smoothie bowls. These have always been something that we all get involved with making. Not only are they delicious and healthy but the kids love making their own designs with the toppings. This year, we are putting our health first. Part of staying healthy is by eating organic, fresh foods with as little ingredients as possible. Smoothies are something that are made daily in our home. Sometimes we have them for breakfast, post workout or just for a snack! Our life has become so much easier now that we use Blendtec for our smoothie sessions. Blendtec blew me away with blender options when I started researching their products. The blender that I chose is called the Designer 725. On the home page on their website it says “the last blender you’ll ever own” and they are right! Aftering using one, I don’t think any other blender would ever win me over. It comes with an eight year warranty, touch screen and self cleaning option. All the moms rejoice at that last statement. I use our Blendtec every morning to make my bulletproof coffee, everyday for smoothies and I’ve even started trying out different soup recipes and my famous mashed cauliflower (be on the lookout for that recipe!) Incorporating smoothies into your daily food routine is something everyone should strive to do. We eat this superfood packed one all of the time and the kids think it’s a special treat. Check out the recipe below:

Ingredients:
– 1 tbsp bee pollen
– 1 tbsp chia seeds
– 1 scoop Vital Proteins Collagen Beauty Greens
– 1 frozen banana
– 1/2 frozen avocado
– 1 handful of spinach
– 1 cup berries (we used raspberries)
– 1 cup of coconut milk

Toppings:
– berries

-bee pollen
– Chia seeds
– granola

Directions:
– add all ingredients into the blender and pulse until mixed
– add to a bowl
– top with your favorite toppings

I just recently made the change to eat better and focus on health & wellness this year! I’ve been doing lots of smoothies but only have a tiny Baby Bullet blender for my son so a fancy blender would be amazing! I’d love to make smoothies or homemade lattes & coffee shakes with it!

  • Melissa

I have enjoyed smoothies for years, but I have been making an effort to enjoy them daily to help bring me to a healthier lifestyle! Since I just finished my degree in Education I see how important it is to be healthy role models for our youth. That is what is pushing me forward with my goal, and following people like you make it that much easier!

I loooove smoothies & smoothie bowls! My toddler and I both scravenge them right up! I NEED a good blender for this reason. I so enjoy all of your product reviews & this is now top of my list. Thanks for taking the time to do this.

I’ve recently become obsessed with making glowing green smoothies and my mini bullet just isn’t cutting it anymore! I also want to start making my own baby food for my little one next month! A good blender would be a game changer 🙂

  • Deanna

I dream of having a Blendtec!!! My current blender is held together with tape. Thanks for the chance to win. First thing I’d make would be a green smoothie with kale because when I use my current blender they kind of have to be chewed.

  • Abbie

    Aloha,
This recipe look absolutely delicious! I would love to use this to make acai bowls in the morning and to help with meal prepping smoothies for the week. Being healthy is a lifestyle choice that I want to permemtly make and I think this would help me so much in my journey. Fingers are crossed to win this beauty!

Baby #2 has me hungry all day and I have been looking to add in healthier and easier snacking (i.e. Smoothies!). Love watching your recipes and can’t wait to try some myself.

  • Sonya Frisina

Love this post! I would give the Blend-Tec to my 15 year old daughter who is at tennis academy. She loves eating healthy and could make smoothies in her room! She has a mini fridge to stock her healthy ingredients. She would LOVE ❤️ this!!!! Thank you!

  • Katie

I’d love a Blendtec to make some yummy healthy smoothies for our busy family and to make baby food for my little guy turning 6 months on the 10th! Love your blog and your instagram

  • Bonnie Pritchard

I’d definitely use a BlendTec to replace my super old blender! I love eating smoothies with a spoon, for some reason it makes it seem like such a meal! I’d also use it for blended coffee in the morning!

  • Courtney

I make my baby’s food and I have been using a smaller blender, but I could really use one that could mix better. Homemade almond butter took so long to make last time. I scrapped the sides and ten minutes later still didn’t have creamy butter. Mommy life is tough enough without an efficient blender.

  • Christina Z

This looks so Yummy! If I won the Blendtec Blender I would make yummy smoothies like this smoothie bowl my kids. I would make green smoothies, soups and fresh salsa!

  • Sarah Reynolds

I would use this blender to make fresh smoothies! I need to have something fast and nutritious for breakfast with my busy schedule !

  • Courtney

It’s so awesome you are doing a give away! We have been using a small Ninja blender that just isn’t cutting it anymore. I’ve been looking for a new belender but can’t afford to spend a car payment on one. My husband, four kids and myself love smoothies and use that as a way to get some much needed vitamins and minerals in our diet!

  • Tabitha

We love smoothies in our house but we just have a basic blender, it would be nice to have a blender that could do more!

  • Cameron

I would love this blender! They are awesome my mother in law has one! I die! I love using it when I come to visit! ❤️

  • Karolina

I just made the change to be healthier and happier human. I just finished my second round of whole 30 this past January and I feel amazing. I’m a full time college student and a full time worker so I am always on the go. Smoothies are that perfect fast breakfast without the guilt. I would use my blend Tec to make smoothies each morning and bowls. My roommates and I already broke two blenders this year because we make smoothies so much. I would be so excited if I could win this! It would make my eating healthier journey so much easier and empowering. I have to eat right all the time because sugar creates terrible migraines for me and I have suffered from them all my life. Eating clean wouldn’t be so tough with this gadget.

  • Alexis

Such a great idea for smoothie bowls! The kids and I have been working on our banana “nice” cream recipes this year. The motor just went out in ours so I’ll definitely have to look into a blendtec one. Love your recipes!

  • Angelina tomallo

I’d use my blender to help me with my New Years resolution! I’ve already lost 15 lbs! I’d love to add smoothies to my diet as a breakfast option!

  • Hannah

My sister and I would use one in our new apartment for our paleo recipes. I used my ninja almost daily, it would be neat to give this one a try!

  • Diana Cote

This looks great, we love smoothie bowls. I will have to try yours out. 🙂 my blender is not very good but it should work I think. 😀

  • Kate

Hi! I’ve been using a magic bullet almost every day for the last 3 1/2 years! My husband and I were just talking about how numbered it’s day are. I would use this Blendtec to make smoothies for our family of 4 now, purée babies foods, blend my coffee with coconut milk, and nice cream once the weather warms up!

  • Jennifer

I would love to use the Blendtec for healthy smoothies for the family! Sometimes it’s hard to get my 3 boys to eat vegetables, so fun smoothies would be a great way to secretly sneak their veggies in!

  • Brittany

I would make so many things with a Blendtec! I’ve been stuck with or vey old blender and am limited on what I can do. I would make my yummy coffee and smoothies daily, soups, pestos, dog treats (yep! ), marinades and so much more!! Also your recipe was delish! Thank you thank you!!

  • Joli

I used to make smoothies EVERY morning to start off my day right, but found it cumbersome to use my magic bullet since it was small and really not very powerful, so I stopped. I would LOVE to use a Blendtec blender! It looks like its much easier to work with. I would enjoy it SO MUCH for my smoothies and soups again! Maybe I can even get my husband to use it too. 😉 He lifts weights and we have canister upon canister of protein powder just waiting to be used again!
I saw your blog last year when you modeled a photo for Pearl&Monroe but just recently started following it daily, and have LOVED your recipes. I’m about to go out and buy chia seeds too since your chia seed pudding sounds amazing. AND I am looking into purchasing Norwex cloths since we are going to start trying for our own little family soon and I would love to clean without chemicals. We have already started talking about how we want to raise our kids with food and making our own baby food was always a thought, but with the blender it would more likely to be a reality.
Basically I just love your blog haha and would love love love to win the Blendtec too! 🙂

  • Rachel Fay

I love making smoothies and over drinks with a blender. I had a ninja but it recently broke. My kids loved to help make smoothies and pick out what went into their smoothie!!!

  • Lindsay

Yumm! I make smoothies almost daily but have never thought to make a smoothie bowl! Can’t wait to try it out!

  • Vanessa Lebedchik

I would love this Blendtec blender! Going to school early in the morning makes it hard to make breakfast sometimes. Haveing something to just throw in all my fruits/veggies and giving a quick puls would let me have a healthy breakfast on the go. It would make my life so much easier and make my morning a lot more enjoyable.

  • Meagan Evans

You guys are adorable and that smoothie b owl looks amazing!!! I work two days a week at a coffee shop and we have this smoothie on the menu- it’s kale, peaches, mangos, ginger lemon juice yogurt and a splash of apple juice and it’s SO good! I would love to make them at home to get my boys drinking them, it’s so healthy!

  • Traci

I just found your blog and Instagram and am so excited to see what’s in store! I would love a blendtec blender and would use it to make smoothies for my little man and for me! We are starting to try for baby #2, so I need to up my nutrient game! I also love making sauces to go on our grilled meats and veggies!

  • Angelica

Oh my! I would use this for so much. Baby food, smoothies and juices galore. I never win anything but I would passout if I won this!

  • Marlena Kiely

I am a HUGE fan & LOVE your blog and instagram! I have just successfully completed my 2nd round of Whole30… i’ve lost 17.8lb and have NO plans on slowing down! I’ve had so many “non scale victories”! I am currently a graduate student (respiratory therapy) taking 19 credit hours + 16 hours of clinicals a week + fostering pregnat cats (& their babies) + taking care of my hardworking, supportive husband! Meal prep has been the secret to my success as well as clean, real ingredients. My health is everything to me and being able to quickly prep (make smoothies, dressings, etc) would make it so much easier for me to be successful is continuing to reach my health and nutrition goals & new lifestyle! Thank you for the opportunity to win one!

  • Lauren

What a great giveaway! I would love a blendtec to make green smoothies! I’ve never done a smoothie bowl and I’m excited to try your recipe! My toddler and I love a smoothie everyday, so this would be a dream to win! Oh, I’d love to try baby food in it as well once my littlest is old enough. Oh, the possibilities!

  • Jessica

I would love to win this blender! As a mom on the upward hill of postpartum depression, I’m desperate to find a way to make nurtient-rich meal replacements for when I don’t have the desire to eat, much less cook, for me, plus the little one. Blending looks like this perfectionists’ answer to a healthier body > healthier mind…happier me.

  • Christina Gray

This last year I have begun juicing and making homade smoothies (primarily green,) to help heal my chronic eczema and psoriasis. I would use the blendtec to make some healthy, healing, & delicious smoothies to continue on my healing journey!

  • Kymi A

I love this Blendtec it’s so amazing and this YUMderful smoothie bowl, I would love to make these for our power up breakfast or an afterschool snack for my kiddos plus I can make my own cashew butter spread and gazpacho soup. Oh my gosh the menu is endless. Thank you for sharing, can’t wait to try your recipe. I’m following on IG as kymnnected.

  • Sarah

SELF CLEANING?!? Since my diet consists of many liquid drinks, I use my old blender several times a day. This means cleaning it several…times…a day. I would love a new blender to help make my day go a bit smoother and make me excited to make my shakes and smoothies!

  • Natalie

I need a new blender so bad. We are making smoothies daily and its so frustrating to have such a bad blender! Your smoothie ideas look great!

  • MEGAN

This blendtec would be a lifesaver for my family. I have had essential hand tremors since I was two and I lost a lot of use of my right hand. I cannot type things because of this and using knives for me is not good. I was also just diagnosed with an autoimmune disease called Hashimoto’s as well as underactive thyroid. My husband is a disabled veteran as well. Having a blend tech in our family would definitely help us be able to do a lot of things we can’t do with our hands. I am trying very hard to eat healthier and get my whole family to do so as well. I would use a blendtec to make smoothies, soups and whatever else I could use it for.

  • Jeannette Root

Oh my goodness! I would use a Blendtec for EVERYTHING! I currently can hardly make a smoothie in my blender, it is so cheap 🙁 (#collegelife). So I would first make the best green smoothie ever loaded with fats and protein. I would try to make cashew milk and even bulletproof coffee in the morning. Been dying to give that a try! Lastly, I would try to make my own soups, because it has been so cold here. Overall, I would use a blendtec to compliment my healthy lifestyle and it would make me so so happy! 🙂

  • Hayley smolen

I would use this to make smoothies for me and my baby and purees for my next baby! I’ve been making them in my ninja, but it is just too small and all the ingredients end up everywhere My husband uses the ninja for his protein shakes and hates when there are carrots in it LOL!! A separate blender would be awesome!!

  • Jill roth

    Wow, that actually sounds delicious!!

We’d use our blendtec to not just make delicious shakes and dips but we’d use it for our baby girls food too. I’m all about making our own baby food so we know exactly what we’re putting into her and this would be an amazing way of doing it.

We’re a fit and active family and want To pass the healthy eating down to our little girl so plan to get her started young. Also I’ve been dying to make some soup since it’s chilly right now and I’ve heard the blendtec is an awesome way to do it.

Have you made fruit leather yet ? It’s another thing I would love to make with it for a healthy-ish treat for our baby.

  • Keri

What wouldn’t I make with a Blendtec is the question ! Soups, smoothies, energy bites and more! Thanks for a chance to win–and for the great smoothie bowl recipe ❤

  • Holly Boland

I love seeing that your kids liked the ‘green’ smoothies. My two daughter s loves green veggies but my son is a broccoli-only kid and I’d love for him to branch out. I think he would love this! I have seen so many amazing recipes using a Blendtec that I would love to try – in particular I would like to try making my own Almond milk. I also have some amazing Vanilla Coconut shake mix from Primal Kitchen that would be perfect for so many smoothie recipes. I just can’t get the right consistency in my low power blender.

  • Kimberly Singh

I would use the Blendtec blender to make all my smoothies and protein shakes. I would also love to try the smoothie bowl.

  • Jodi Armstrong

We eat smoothies nearly daily & love them. My blender is junk, blend technology would be amazing & well loved in our house. I’d love to make my own nut butters also.

  • Ailina Carona

I’m always trying to make the best smoothies for my girls to get their veggies. And with our third baby girl due in a couple of weeks, I know I’ll need one of these two keep up with the heathy lifestyle. Smoothies are so quick and easy, which is what this momma of 3 girls 3 and under needs!

  • Diana

I would be a smoothie queen!!! Especially during our hot AZ summers! A quick way to cool down and be healthy while doing it. This would be amazing!

  • Mary

I really like to make smoothie bowls! I have one every morning! I would use the new blender to help keep up my healthy lifestyle and diet!

  • Catherine

I love smoothies and my current blender isn’t too great at crushing up the ice. There’s nothing worst than ice chunks in your smoothie!! I hope that if I win the blender I can make bomb smoothies!

  • Autumn Bush

When I worked at a busy juice bar, I was so healthy. I felt great, looked great, and was genuinely happier. We used Vitamix only at the juice bar. I really loved them, but I’ve heard wonderful things about Blendtec, some claiming to be better than the Vitamix. Currently I have an old, banged up Ninja that is a little finicky about turning on… Honestly I would like to get back to how I felt pre-baby, and with my experience, know how much better I would be feeling if I focused on my health. Using a Blentec would be AMAZING for healthy smoothies and even purees for my little one!!

  • Tom H.

Having lost both an older sister to colon cancer and dad to dementia and pneumonia complications within the last year, my mom and I made the shift to plant-based nutrition to maximize our health. Currently grabbing a smoothie or juice from local shops or throwing together a healthy blend in a basic, small blender, this Blendtec would be a phenomenal addition to our kitchen and support our healthy lifestyle. While green smoothies and whole food juices would be frequent go-to blends, the Blendtec would offer a wide range of versatility from soups to nut butters and more! Thank you so much for the opportunity to win one.

  • Stephanie

I make smoothies for our family every morning for breakfast but I use an immersion blender. I’d love to have a Blendtec. Thanks for your review.
