My 2018 Gym Life in Collaboration with Fabletics

Another week has come and gone and that means another week at the gym has as well. I started working out regularly when Derrek purchased gym memberships for the two of us a couple of months back. Derrek has worked out regularly for over ten years so I look to him for most of my guidance. At the end of 2017, I definitely took time off from the gym but I’ve picked back up where I left off! I can see how it becomes easy to slack off from working out regularly but I am a woman on a mission. Seven years ago, I was 60 pounds overweight and very unhappy.…

    Motherhood Lately

‌ my top | jeans | boots As many of you know, I am a stay at home mom to three children. Nolan is 5, Harper is 3 and Scarlet Reese is 18 months. When I look at those sweet little faces, I know that there is nothing more important than being their mom. It really blows my mind to go back to my life BEFORE children and how different I was. Everyday, I see more and more how my children have changed me and continuously help me be a better person. I know this seems selfish but, at the end of the day, when you’ve given and given and…

    HairDO

Let me tell y’all a little secret. My hair is my security blanket. I am still shocked at myself for cutting it… but all the post partum hair fall out and regrowth gave me no choice! After transitioning my personal care products (and adding a few kids in the mix), one of the things I kept reading about hair is that when you over wash it can cause a multitude of issues. I’ve dealt with psoriasis for many, many, many years and having those flare ups and sores in my scalp make me willing to try anything. The non toxic shampoo and conditioner that I’ve found works best at clearing…

    Winter Is A Comin’

The Winter Blues are here and are in full effect. Some days are better than others BUT not getting my regular dose of Vitamin D has a lot to do with it. Mama’s with small children, my hat goes off to you. There is ALWAYS something to do and the messes you have to clean up seem never ending. During all of this, I have realized how important self care is. We cannot pour from an empty cup, It is so important for us to remember that in order to keep all the balls in our court. Here are a few of my favorite ways to show myself self-care during…

There’s No Place Like Home For the Holidays

How on Earth is it almost the end of November? Y’all, this month has flown by faster than any other in 2017, in my opinion. I feel like we haven’t had the chance to soak up fall like we wanted and now it’s almost winter! It’s hard to contain my excitement because in a few days, I’ll be cooking my own Thanksgiving. I’ve never done this and this will be the first time that it’s just Derrek, myself and the kids and we are really looking forward to it. We always travel to several different Thanksgiving’s on that day and although we enjoy seeing family, we’re so worn out from…
